Wish we would offer that kid. But our new defensive staff has "upped the ante" on the defensive side of the ball it seems and are very picky to what they want in this new defensive scheme.

I thought it was strange they didn't offer. Maybe they saw the writing on the wall.

I think our old defensive staff would have offered him right when he stepped on campus.

Does he not fit the scheme?

Maybe Petrino and staff know he is heading to Mizzou.

Who knows.

We will have plenty of interesting recruiting battles in the coming years. Should be fun.

Not sure really, it's already very obvious the types of players our new D cord wants are VERY different of that our old D cord wanted.

I am not just saying that to say it either. A lot of us are wondering why we haven't offered "insert prospect here" because by now they would already have an offer if we still had Robinson.

Guess that is why we fired him

Johnson and Haynes didn't like him that much.

Not going to doubt this guys one bit. They put countless top 5 defenses on the field....This last year was their worst year they've had and they were still ranked in the top 25

Exactly how much of your defensive staff is from Ohio St?

50%

We have 4 coaches total on the defensive side of the ball.

We got two from Ohio State this past off-season, we got their DB coach and their assistant D cord.

I think I am more excited about getting their DB coach since he has had several first great DB's and our DB play has been AWFUL under Robinson.

2. Paul Haynes is the new DC and Taver Johnson who is coaching the LB's.

They seem to be looking for bigger MLB's like Bama uses. We had two MLB's in town last weekend and the guy that they did offer is 6'3, 260 lbs. In the past our inside guy has been around 225-230 lbs. It looks like they are looking for bigger guys to combat the power running games from Bama and LSU.

Our new D guys like a guy that can put his his hand in the ground and play DE then drop back in coverage too.

*see Mallett pick in sugar bowl to lose the game.

Keith Neibuhr with Rivals thinks Mizzou might be the next "surprise team" for getting 2013 recruits.

quote:

Keith Niebuhr: I'll go with Missouri. I like the way the Tigers have started with their 2013 class. First and foremost, Missouri is securing its borders. Its six commits are all in-state products. That's key because for the Tigers to succeed in the SEC they can't let too many good ones get away. I also like the fact they're hitting the Southeast region extremely hard. This was fairly predictable, but if you're a Missouri fan you have to like the Tigers' approach. At the very least, Missouri is making itself visible. That's a start, and sooner or later it is bound to pay off.
