Will be traveling to Starkvegas to watch my Tigers play the bulldogs. It will be the first time most of us have been and was hoping to see if there were any recommendations of places we should go while there. We will be there from Thurs night-Sunday morning. Thanks!

Also, if you have any recommendations of how to tailgate "MSU style."

We went to Oxford a couple years ago and I was stunned with the way the cops/security mandate those tailgating to use a cup vs. just holding a beer can. It seems it's the same way in Starkville from what I can tell, but no one really wants to come out and say it.

I think we are supposed to have cups at all times but people have beers in koozies all the time and i have never seen anyone get in trouble or asked to put it away.

Tailgating is similar to there but more laid back, nobody is going to bust your nutts for having a beer can as long as you bring it in a cooler. The biggest difference between ours and yours is that it is all happening in one place whereas in Baton Rouge it seems to sprawl across campus.

So it is pretty much like Oxford....? I saw a guy carrying an unopened case of bud light through the grove(not in a cooler) and was made to pour every can out. I couldn't believe it.

Like, really? Every person here is drinking alcohol and have beers in coolers but the fact that if they see a label that's cause for giving you shite.

The bars run along the street that the concert takes place at.

I don't understand the uproar.

Keep your shite in a cooler and bring a cup. Out of site out of mind. Just shows a little respect. The cops are turning the other way so why be blatant with it?

Cops don't care for the most part. If you're at your tent and not making a fool, cops will be too scared to approach you.

Me questioning how it is is just because A. I don't want to get in trouble of have a cop give me shite and B. just trying to understand what the rules are.

Respect??? So me drinking beer out of a can is disrespectful compared to me drinking beer out a cup. I mean if it's against the law in MS to drink in public while tailgating, then I guess that's cool of the cops???? If it's not a legality thing, then what is it?

Anyways, looking forward to it. It should be a fun time!

Is Cowbell's worth going to? Considering it since it's open till 3 on Fri/Sat
