He has the talent to play MLB
The question is can he harness and develop it?
He will get to The Show because of his glove and arm- whether it's the Padres or another team- he will get his chance. It's just a question of whether he makes strides at the plate to become a consistent hitter to keep him there.
I wish him the best- and hope he has someone to invest his money well for him, buy him some land around Gallman, and make sure he has something to fall back on

@matthewcstevens: Apparently SD's fast track plan for Hunter Renfroe before end of MiLB season is to get him ABs w/ Class A Fort Wayne of Midwest League.

I never said he wouldnt get a cup of coffee in the big leagues- I just dont think he will stay very long. I dont think his bat can keep him there

This is such a bullshite comment.
Coach, I wish you the best- and I hope you've prepared for your miserable future accordingly because you're a gross slob and nothing good will ever happen to you. Best of luck to you.

Renfroe will take time getting through the minors. He's still very raw and needs alot of fundamental baseball to be taught to him -- little things like baserunning and outfield footwork, getting jumps, etc
This may sound stupid to some of you, but the main area that Renfroe needs work is at the plate. He is still pretty undisciplined at times. He still pulls off the ball too soon and you just can't do that in the pros unless you are Gary Sheffield, Barry Bonds, Vlad etc.

I agree with this too.

@EugeneEmeralds: BALLGAME! The Ems are back on the right side of things with a 6-3 win over the AquaSox. Renfroe 2-4 in his debut w/ a double. Not too shabby

Renfroe hit 4 bombs while taking BP right after he signed.

They've already called Hunter and talked to him about moving up. He's going to get a few more ABs then he'll be in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
