Anyone here hold their breath when they heard Adidas was involved?

It's an FBI investigation, NCAA isnt involved, nor is State at this point.
Obviously there is concern, as every major college basketball program should be concerned.
Adidas is in the spotlight right now, but coaches at UA and Nike schools are being criminally charged, this isn't over and more brands will be brought into the shite soon.

I think every school should be concerned. Adidas got caught but dont think that they are the only ones. It's a competition between Adidas, under armour, and Nike. This investigation is going to change the way of college athletics. Its not just basketball either.

I think basketball is a different animal from football. The shoe companies have buried themselves into basketball in a big way, and they have been going all out to make sure that their affiliated schools are successful. In some (most) cases, it is just dirty as hell. They want to own a player in high school, in college, and in the pros.
Football isn't driven by the corporate world in the same way. The fans are the ones that go ape-shite crazy about stuff, and the shenanigans in football are fan driven for the most part. It is still dirty, but it is going to be much harder to police.

The other thing is that it is way harder to predict which football recruits will make it to the pros. Basketball players don't have to gain years of physical development, most of them are physically ready out of highschool.
Almost every 4* and 5* in basketball makes it to the professional level either in the US or Europe, there are very very few 5* flops. That isn't the case in football.
