Why?

It's the same group coming back a year older and better...I'm expecting them to be much better(like they already were last year).

You were probably pretty concerned about it in the 2008 Egg Bowl as well, right? I know I was...That didn't stop that same core group from being a badass unit in 2010 after they got older and stronger.

We've recruited pretty badly on the OL, but we've developed pretty well.

Our starting line doesn't worry me, but our back-ups definitely do.

That's true...

I feel pretty good about Robinson and Holley though based on offseason reports. Just need someone to step up in a guard spot...

nahhhhh- he'll get his 6, and probably a 7th

We have everybody returning on the OL and our DL will be much improved. That is where SEC games are won and lost

OL worries the shite out of me.

Why?

We return all 5 starters

We were one of the best in the SEC last season in pass protection

They will all be a year older

I've never seen an OL returning all 5 starters that wasnt significantly better the next season

Coonass: Wasn't trying to insinuate he was going anywhere. My bad if it read that way.

I think anyone that thinks we're gonna do better than 6-6 next year should share their drugs...

You have only had this mindset for like two weeks. What did you do with your old drugs? I want them.

Why would we not be capable of 7 wins?

I just think that everyone should go about projecting next year with a tad bit of hesitation. We're still going to have relatively the same team as we did last year, the same Russel that made a chokefest out of his last two games.

It's okay to be optimistic but come on.

Russell is a very good quarterback. You are basing the season off of Russell's bowl game? And we do not have basically the same team we had last year. It's actually a lot different. We also don't have the same shitty defensive coordinator and we return our entire offensive line. I am just calling you out for saying what everyone else says when just two weeks ago you wouldn't have said it.

I also remember calming you down before the Bama game telling you that we were going to lose and could possibly lose out. We will be a better football team next year. Will we have a better record? Probably not.

We gave up 10 sacks in our 5 losses- on 183 dropbacks- thats still not bad. And only 19 on the season- good enough for 2nd in the SEC.

By contrast, Bama with their "best in the country OL" gave up 23 sacks on the season

Texas A&M, who had at least 3 future OL guys and 2 first rounders, and one of the best scrambling QB's in NCAA history- also gave up 23 sacks.

LSU gave up 32 sacks last season

Our pass pro was and will be very damn good.
