33.

That's how many yards we held CSU to, 15yds passing and 18 yds running. What a great defensive performance. Guys on defense were flying around while not losing containment or their lanes. They looked bigger and faster than last year and seemed to know what they were doing.

87.

That's the combined yardage of Key Thompson (35 yds) and Kylin Hill (62). It was really encouraging to see a lot of young players, on both sides of the ball, play. Hopefully that pays off with a lot of increased depth.

7.

That's the number of carries Fitz had. This was probably his first game (aside from ole miss last year) where he didn't didn't get hit a lot. We gave 30+ carries to our running backs. I thought Aeris had a bit of a slow start, but then picked it up.

Overall a really solid win. The main area of concern, and this is nothing new, is the offensive line. Charleston's defensive line seemed to get good pressure for most of the game.

It will be interesting to see what defense we play against La Tech next week. They look to have a decent qb and running back (at least based on stats from 1 game).

Speaking of o-line: when I saw the Dak documentary that Dallas put out, I just knew we could never get rid of Hevesy after Dan let him take all the credit for recruiting Dak.

La Tech played an FCS team that won one game last year. They would be in deep, deep trouble if they didn't have a few players that looked pretty good in that game. The QB was barely over .500 in passing.

The D just seemed in position most of the time which is a massive improvement from last year. I'm not reading too much into the arse kick of CSU.

Offensivly, low snaps, running between the tackles, fitz pass completion percentage. I do like the young talent with Hill and Thompson.
I'm trying to find a negative on the defense but I can't.
Special teams, I'm going to give the kicker a pass for being his first collegiate game even though I shouldn't give him a pass.

Devon Bell had an amazing leg but couldn't kick under pressure. This guy is brand new and only 18. Hopefully he improves.

Right Tackle has to get better and the low snaps have to get fixed. Hard to even evaluate Fitz until that happens, he was starting most snaps off timing because he had to scoop them off the turf. Would think the snap issue is corrected by Saturday, at RT we just have to hope for steady improvement.

Can be a really good team.

ETA: Kicker is similar to RT, both are young so I'm optimistic they will rapidly improve.
