Why does that call for a dancing banana? Now there is a decent chance we'll lose one of the best defensive players in the country, dumbass.

His poor defensive play calling and inability to utilize players properly is a big part of our problem this season. If we lose a recruit over this then so be it. You should know by now the first rule an athlete being recruited is taught is that they should never base their decision on where to attend because of a coach. Coaches will come and go.

Dumbass.

Wilson, who served as co-defensive coordinator at Mississippi State in 2010 and defensive coordinator in 2011, was the Bulldogs' primary defensive play-caller the last two seasons, seasons in which MSU has ranked 16th and 28th in scoring defense. In 2011, the Bulldogs were 15th in the country in rushing defense and 17th in tackles for loss.

We're not losing Chris...

He is surrounded by Bulldogs, including his mom.

He wasn't coordinating anymore. He would have been a fine DL coach on our staff. But we have idiots like you ready to run him off for no apparent reason.

No shite Sherlock. He was demoted to DL coach yesterday. I'm pretty sure we didn't fire him but when another offer came along he jumped on it. I would imagine between relenquishing the defensive play calling for the GB and then being demoted he got his feelings hurt and wanted out. I would have been fine with him staying on as D-line coach as long as he isn't the one calling the defensive plays.

So when you knew he'd no longer be calling plays, why were you to him leaving? Makes no sense.

Cute edit.

By his leaving it shows that the only way he wanted to be here was if he was DC. If he had a problem with taking a lesser role then we don't need him. He would have been a cancer anyway.

If CDM or SS felt that we were losing alot by letting him go, we wouldn't have let him go.

Damn, you sure are sensitive. <<< that was for a number of reasons. 1. It tells us that the staff sees deficiencies and is taking steps to correct them. 2. It happened early enough that we will be able to calm any panicked recruits.

It's was a reason why Collins called the plays for bowl game and was promoted.

It was Not because of Wilson play calling the first 12 games.

Our defense was bad. We had to have some changes. Personally, I was hoping for an outside hire.

You posted that Wilson became CO in 2011 then posted stats from that year. Why not this year to see how his coaching was..

Here's the defense rankings.

2011(you stated.. though not true) MSU was ranked 15th in rush defense. 2012, we ranked 69th!

We went from 17th in TOL in 2011 to 83rd!

from 35th in total defense to 58th!

Fact is that since he took over the defense, we have declined.

My source is the ncaa.org stats.

The only thing I edited was adding that last sentence to call you an idiot. I'm glad you are excited we lost a DL coach that was good enough for OU and UGA, while also being thought of as our staff's strongest recruiter.

He was not. 1 recruit this year.. the kid from Bogue chitto.

Not sure of the "!!!" to me on the stats. I'm just posting what happened since he took over. I think he's a great DL. A DC he was not.

I quoted that from the ESPN story, and thus, why it was quoted. I am not saying Wilson was the best coach in the world; I just think some of the fault and blame falls on our defensive line and safeties. When your DL plays and poorly as they did, that then affects your LB and CB play. Blockers can get to LB on run and QB has ten minutes to throw which kills the DBs. So, while I'm not saying Wilson is to blame for the downfall, a lot falls on the shoulders of the players' poor play at times.

It is what it is at this point. Hope that Collins changes the scheme to a "Joe Lee" smash mouth style!
