God our team is so deep. And regarding the running back position I've pretty much seen the debate as if State is only going to use one running back exclusively. Umm why? Alabama and Georgia have multiple running backs they can rely on. And this is the same situation with Williams and Hill. And the depth is top 3 in the SEC for RB Depth as well. This will be the best Mississippi State Football team from talent to coaching that I will have witnessed (though it's easy to say that when there isn't too much competition)...

Draft picks in April:

Sweat
Simmons
Fitz
Jenkins
Green
Rivers
Abram
Hoyette

McLaurin, Thomas and Calhoun have an outside shot

I think Guidry has a good chance to get drafted this year.

I've said this for 4 years. Our coaches think he ends up a top 3-4 round pick. Which also frustrates Rivers because he has to rotate to get reps. I think Rivers shows out also and declares.

I agree on both. People say Rivers may be better than Sweat. If he lives up to that, we'll be in Atlanta.

Williams and Hill will split time. I think they will both rush for close to 800 yards, but Williams will be the leading rusher.

Yep I agree. Everyone has put a lot of hype on Hill, but Williams has been a consistent staple to this offense. It's kinda cool to have a Golden Triangle of sorts around this offense.

Something I will add to my prediction. I have us making the Cotton Bowl but not making the SEC Title Game at 11-1. I think our Alabama game will be close but I can't predict us to win @ Alabama nor can I predict Alabama to not go 13-0. Certainly I think State can. And listen State almost defeated Alabama last year. I don't think the Gap is as huge as many people think, but winning in Tuscaloosa will be tough.

But I'm going to be bold and give State the nod to the playoffs because I don't see a real National contender in the Big 12 or the Pac 12. And honestly it wouldn't surprise me if the Big Ten would be that conference either depending on what happens with Ohio State.

Honestly this might be our best chance in a while due to us kind of being in a transitional phase in the SEC to get from Alabama to Georgia as being the dominat team. Yes Georgia lost last year, but it was a win for them to get that far and it is showing in their recruiting. I don't think this is a bad thing though because this just means Mississippi State is now more likely to be in SEC West Contention, it's just going to be that much tougher to win in Atlanta which will essentially be a road game(but if we do go to Atlanta, that Stadium is nicccce. Got a chance to go to a soccer game there!)

I read where Hill is 14 lbs lighter now than what he reported to camp at last year. I think he catches a lot of passes and also gets some long second half runs this season after Williams hammers them in the first half and wears down the defenses.
