OK, dem are fighting words. Use to be a pretty little town till about 20 years ago.

McComb has changed a ton in 20 years while Brookhaven has remained pretty much the same.

So you didn't make it to the Icehouse? That in itself is worth the trip to McComb.

Everybody should experience the icehouse at least once in their life.

McComb was a HUGE Ole Miss town 40 years ago. Pistol Pete turned a lot of heads in the late 60's. It was a huge positive for MSU & OM to move games from Jackson back to campus, but the move was beneficial for LSU in some south MS towns.

I am from McComb, graduated North Pike in 2006.

then you are from Summit.
Home of the Golden Hushpuppy.

I haven't "lived" there since '99. Meaning, i haven't been there but a handful of times since then. I'm way older than you and most of my family have moved off or has expired. I still have a few good friends there but I'm definitely not name dropping.

For their sake.

I lived in McComb for 2 years and worked in Brookhaven for 2... I have a pretty good idea as well.

I just have to know, do you have ties to that area or something? I'm not sure I know anyone that moves there for work.

Allyn, this happened with my uncle. He was a HUUUUUGE Pistol Pete guy. My grandparents have always been LSU fans though. I have a feeling you would know him, my mom , and my aunt considering for a time they lived right around the corner from you.

I sincerely doubt the last part. Seems like an assumption on the basis of them being more outspoken with stuff...

It is an assumption. He has no idea.

I can't remember the names of most of my friends from McComb, so don't test me. It wouldn't be pretty.

I do have alot of ties there -- but work wasn't related to them at all. Telecommunications engineering will send you wherever their "new" TV service needs to go unfortunately. Ended up spending a ridiculous amount of time in all the small town in SWMS. I wasn't in charge of Brookhaven's launch -- although that's technically where I was based... but if tv's and internet don't work in Woodville, Centreville, Liberty, Gloster, Natchez, Fayette, Union Church, Roxie, Meadville, Tylertown, and couple SELA Parishes...welp, that was most likely me.

You offered one of our commits Marquel Harrell. He wasn't ranked until a day or so ago and he's a high 3* right now. Dude looks really fast and athletic for a lineman.

I've been to Bo's like 5 times Bunty. Usually good for once a year when I'm down that way hunting...I have to drink a lot before anyone mentions it to me...

It's one of those places I always run into 10 people I "know" at the most ridiculous times and then wonder wtf my life is about the next day.

I probably know most of you honestly. At least through mutual friends for sure. Grew up with a dad that knows every landowner in a several county radius down there...
