Murray is melting pretty hard right now.
Giving up hits doesn't bother me as much as the walks, errors, and mental mistakes(missing the cut twice to allow trail runners to take an extra base). We're having a ton of mental mistakes at the plate too.

I'm pissed. Baseball is strange like this though. One or two more goose eggs shitshows in the nonconference and it will be time to melt a bit...

I would like to see Heck get a start at SS. Also, I would not mind if Garner was our full time DH with Detz at third.

I just don't understand why we couldn't get most of this worked out during all the scrimmages/practices.

Anybody think we can go 6-0 this week? I think we will at least drop one to Michigan state. Hopefully we can get into a groove this week and get some confidence back.

I think that's just the way Cohen is at this point. He obviously does not trust scrimmage/practice to see who has what he wants.

We can...not sure if we will. We look timid out there.

Yeah it's all about what's going on between their ears. Winning the two midweek games would go a long way to getting our confidence back heading into the weekend. Baseball really is a mental game, and hopefully they can get things figured out soon.

Some of it maybe should have been figured out then...
But as far as figuring out who should and shouldn't be playing under the bright lights, what happens in scrimmages and practices becomes almost immaterial. Everyone responds to pressure differently. He's got to figure out who among our newcomers will respond positively.
Hudson responded pretty well on the mound yesterday when he obviously didn't have his best stuff. Tatum and Sexton both went deer in the headlights in those games...

I am guessing Bracewell starts one of the games this midweek. Who starts the other?

Save Bracewell for the weekend and throw P. Brown and Cox

Anyone But Britton - SS

I would like to see Heck at SS just to see if he can field as well as they say he can.
I would stick with an outfield of Vickerson/Bradford/Henderson.
I would like to see Lindgren as our Sunday starter.

Yeah Lindgren looks good but need a good lefty out bullpen. Bracewell threw well against Memphis (0 earned runs) and that was our best competition to date.
