Don't know if this is old news or not but told from a good source that Justin Cox is a silent commit to us already. Anybody else heard this?

I've heard the same thing. I hope it's true. He may be the best pick-up in this class.

He and his mother were at homecoming unofficially so it would make sense.

No doubt we need some help in our secondary for next season and he would start from day one.

Rumor is that Yancy says he will likely be a 5* on Scout before it is over and has already prepared the flock for him to become a Bulldog again...

If Yancy admits the kid that is a heavy State lean is that kind of talent, you know it is true. Also, you can watch the EMCC games online in a live stream(I forget the link)... I watched them last week, and Cox was absolutely everywhere on the field making plays.

Reading that we have a lead with Rumph, he is making his decision after his UGA visit. Also hearing things look very good with Shump, he likes our coaches and what is happening with the program. Reported that his dad asked Mullen where they would want him to play and Mullen's answer was "wherever he wants".

This guy is runored to be our next comitment.

Offers from us, CO State, UAB, and Louisville.

It's becoming painfully obvious that we aren't getting Connor, Shump, Za'Darius, Dobbs, or Rumph.

How so?

We technically still have 8 spots that we can give in this class without dropping any commits.

Granted, that would take some maneuvering to get under 85 by August...

Yeah we get shump, cox, and rumph. Put your money on it. Also, that WR may be better than any basketball players we have left.
Don't read into that Req, and don't worry about those kids because they will be dawgs. I like this receiver and I don't care where his offers are from, I haven't saw much video but he looks fast and has good hands. shite like this is where Megatrons come from.

I think we'll be fine if we don't get Za'darius. He probably wouldn't have started next year anyway with Denico and Eulls coming back. After that we'll still have Eulls, and Preston, AJ Jefferson and Torrey Dale will be RsSo and Ryan Brown'll be a senior.

I would love for us to pick up TC, but I'm not putting my hopes on a USP kid, plain and simple. I think we're still a big player for Shump and I think we have a good shot at Rumph. Other than those four I don't really think there's anyone we need. Biggest thing for this class IMO is to make sure we get Cox and to do everything we can to get Cord out of baseball.

I'll check after class if nobody else does but you have to remember we are graduating all 3 starters. Mullen's goal is to constantly have about 9 or 10 getting catches so we need a big arsenal. A lot of these kids are JUCO WR's too which conks the class 2 years ago when you are thinking about recruiting class balance.

I believe the only Juco we've signed so far is De'Vante Scott.

Wr's
Shelby Christy
Scott Austin
BJ Hammond
Brandon Wells
Tyre'uone Holmes

Plus Rumph, and we will pick up another if we miss on him.

Trent Simpson, the kid from Oxford, Al, suffered a torn ACL Friday night. I wonder what happens with this kids commitment?

Chris Jones got another bump in the rankings from rivals. I don't really use rivals much but it's nice to see. How they still have Cord Sandberg as a 3 star I will never know.

I have high hopes for this kid. He got selected to AL-MS Allstar game and he's got good size to either bulk up and play DE or maybe gain a little speed and play MLB. Honestly though, when is the last time we've pulled a scholly from somebody? So far De'Vante Scott, Dezmond Harris and now Simpson have all torn ACL's and we haven't dropped any of them.

Chris is still a 3* on Rivals and Cord has been a 4* all along on there?
