I mean, I'm not hating on juco players or anything and we have made some excellent pickups with juco, but I just don't like that we need them to fill certain spots.
Every team in the country uses them the same way we currently are... as stop gaps to young players. We simply need Rumph to bridge the gap until the other 4 are ready...
When I agree that it becomes a problem is in the situation like Autry currently, when there is no "heir apparent" on roster...no one there to pass the torch to. That is why getting Za'Darius Smith is such a big deal... So, hopefully, he can somewhat bridge the gap to Chris Jones, who is hopefully the long-term answer to this role(although I'm not convinced 2 years is enough times for Jones to be ready). I agree that I hate taking it one yr at a time with guys flirting with the NFL, but it is no doubt better than the alternative...
Mullen has already put 4 JUCO guys into the NFL and will likely put Slay there this year. His batting average on these guys is pretty good really outside of OL.

Posted by Requiem For A Dawg I watched all of our commits highlight films as well as vids from Big Dawg Camp and I fully expect DeAndre Woods to come in a ball out. He is the committ I'm most excited about.
A day after I post this, he decommits. Fml

He may flip to someone else, but it's not going to be Ole Miss. Especially after he sees y'all win all of 3 games this year.

We didn't want him.

I'm sure he is heartbroken because his offers from AU, Arky, Vandy, NC State, USC, and us aren't enough.

Devin Booker, 2014 SG, is visiting y'all this weekend.

He was the only one of our commits that seemed overly upset by Mirando leaving. I had expected this honestly(but thought we had dodged the bullet when Brewster was hired).
Unfortunate because he is the best WR commit we had IMO. Got to get him back in the boat.

Memphis inspection station cited us for toxic emissions and a busted tail light on the Datsun we bought him.

Frick, I liked Woods. Has he said anything on who's leading?

Do you think our coaches are telling him we will win more?
