Post-Game Transcript from Stoops and Co.
- It sucks. Thought we had a decent chance in this game. The interception in the end zone absolutely killed us.
- I'm also a little puzzled by the lack of Kemp but I have a feeling it has to do with him almost losing the ball on that big carry. Something we couldn't have afforded if we wanted to stay in the game.
- The fake FG for the score was awesome. I don't know of many UK coaches that would've had the balls to go for that. It was executed perfectly. Kudos to Mansour and Leet.
- Until we get a QB, we're up shite creek without a paddle. And I hate it because I legitimately feel like we have enough talent on the defensive side of the ball to balance things out if we did.

The fake FG was perfectly played, and called at the right time.
I agree about the offense, I don't know what the answer is. Smith is too fragile to be dependable it seems, and Whitlow just isn't that good of a complete QB to be effective. The offense is just going to struggle, while the D continues to play well and keep us in games. I still say try Phillips or Towles and see if we get a spark. Maybe not the next couple of weeks, but when they hit the MSU game be ready to try something new. (Yes, I'm remember Couch thrown to the Gator wolves running the option
).
If Barker is the future, then play one of the other guys and see what they can do.
I still say the only sure loss after Bama is the Georgia game, all others are winnable by this team, with even a small amount of offensive punch.

Yeah, but I want to win in football.... I have never bought into the theory that UK can't win in football, 2007 should have been proof. But I get what you are saying.
By the way, beat Bama and win the SEC title game and you are in the title game again!
