Yep, and you will I think as the season goes on. Not a lot of wins, but I think this teams gets better as the season goes on.

Not very good overall, but the running game looked like it has some life.
Biggest thing is talent is razor thin and no real depth to speak of. It's almost like Stoops is starting a program from scratch.

You know,

UK can be competitive. For goodness sakes y'all beat a Champion in '07. :(

I think the coach you have can work. If he brings excitement, it can be done.

Look at Franklin and Vandy. They are an entertaining team to watch now. UK should be no different

It's not going to be easy, but there's no reason to think Kentucky's not on the right track. The only thing that really needs to happen this year is that the team has to buy into what Stoops wants to do. Execution, even if that means nothing more than players being in the right position, should be what's improved this year, not necessarily the win-loss record. Next year is when it should start to reflect the competitiveness of games, and year 3 is when UK should expect progress in the win-loss record.

Yep JD. It could be referred to as the 'process'.

But Dinardo brought the magic back, as he liked to say. And he did.

It takes energy and enthusiasm. UK should not be at the bottom.

They have to recruit the midwest IMO.

For the record, I'd like for this to stop appearing in every single post directed towards me. I get it. Thanks...

Agreed, and Stoops is doing that. He has several 4* recruits from Ohio committed to next year, which is an unfortunate rarity for UK to get decent recruits from Ohio.
Stoops is the guy to get it done, just that this year will be tough to get through.
I think the Franklin analogy is a good one, and Stoops can be that kind of guy here. I think you see results later in the season execution wise, and wins start to appear next season if the recruiting class stays together.

Kentucky will greatly benefit from Spurrier retiring, and hopefully (for you guys) Franklin moving on from Vanderbilt. And just hope that South Carolina falls right back where they belong
