New posts feature

Instead of just having the little icon that says "new" it would be nice if you could click on that and go to the new posts in the thread. The way it is now, you can click on the poster and navigate to the last post in the thread, but if there are new posts before that one you still have to scroll up. This feature would eliminate that.

This is a great idea and would be nice.
However, I imagine the software manipulation involved would be a little above circus child's pay grade.

I would donate. This is the one feature this forum is missing. If you're gone for 30 minutes on a huge thread, good luck finding where you left off.

Seems like it would be a fairly simple case of locally storing the post-number of the last post in each thread visited and calling it in a script that sets the web page at the next-newest post
But I don't know too much about cookies so that may not be possible. I feel like it should be, though, fairly easily.
