I can't help your fan base is being stereotyped as whiny, talk to draconian sanctions.

Nah, the fanbase has earned it, just pointing out 'not all'.

I don't think you are all whiny by any means. Things just start to run together.

The whole schedule thing is interesting too. It seems many of you are upset with it, but for numerous reasons. Some legit and some just whiny.

Yeah, I don't get it either. If the goal is to get to ATL and win, then it really doesn't matter who's on the slate. Do the deal or not I say.

Exactly, every year some teams are gonna have a easier road (even in the sec) than others. Just win! If you are getting screwed for 4, 5, or 6 years in a row that's one thing. Otherwise just deal with it.

That's the thing, preseason most were saying Mizzou was getting a pass in East and A&M not so in West. Well, lo and behold. Muschamp has UF a year ahead of schedule, UT might get a top tier coach, UGA and SCar should stay pretty good. Mizzou is going to have to scramble. A&M is coming in with Hogs and AU in disarray....but MSU and Ole Miss look like two pretty fair clubs.
Just never know how things work out.

I agree, I tried to tell people things cycle. But the nimrods don't see it that way. If you are playing a SEC schedule year in and year out, you're good with me.

Yep. No doubt about. I'm enjoying our moment, cause I know a down period could be just around the corner.

Saban won't be around forever (and I'm not trolling or flaming but realistically he's got between 5-10 years before he probably retires). UGA was great in the early Richt years, and now we are kind of in a lull. Won't last forever though, talent has to play up to the potential eventually....right? Carolina will slide back to earth when Spurrier calls it quits. But A&M is up and coming quickly, Florida is bouncing back in a big way. This league is so unpredictable. I have no clue where anyone will be five years from now. I can only speculate, and that's what makes it so fun

UGA is in a tough spot. Hard to let go of a 10 win coach, but I think with the talent your state has you should have been better over the last 10 years. With the right hire UGA is better than anyone, with the wrong hire they are worse. It'd be a big gamble to get rid of richt.

To comment on your Saban stance, you are exactly right. I'd say 5-8 years... Then the next hire will decide how we pan out in the future.

He will get a job somewhere. Too good if an offensive mind to, but it won't be at Bama lol. Maybe Louisville rehires him after Strong leaves this offseason? Petrino could turn their QB into a superstar

I think UT should give him a serious look, with a contract that is loaded on backend, not frontend. But apparently this isn't a consideration, so who knows.

Georgia is the Texas of the SEC. Nice guy coach with loaded teams every single year that have inexcusable performances in the biggest games and get owned by a rival coach (Stoops and Spurrier) routinely. I've always wondered what UGA could do with a coach that came in and locked down the state borders. I have a list of the most underachieving programs in college football based on available talent, recruiting ability and actual production vs program potential. Texas, Georgia and Virginia are the three worst underachievers in the country

Texas or Tennessee? Texas can do better. That's the best job in all of college football. Great city, great fans/alumni, amazing recruiting base, own tv network, and an athletic department with more money than God. The right coach could turn Texas into a dynasty that's in the national title hunt every season

I don't know if this is possible (much like the state of Florida) but Georgia (the state) has the 3rd highest D1 signee ratio and 4th in total in country. Source

Haven't looked at Virginia, but Texas and Georgia I agree with.

As far as coaches go I don't know who I'd hire if I was a SEC AD. If you wanna win big you need a good Defense. And there just aren't that many great defensive coaches out there.

Tennessee. Texas would never take him in a million years.
