Good answer. The main mod is FleshEatingSalsa, who apparently is in Africa saving souls for Jesus. I'm sure his web connectivity is spotty at best.
As suggested, build up a good post history on tRant and I'm sure you'll have no trouble getting approved when Fleshy returns with some ungodly disease.

You'll probably get in now that you have a few posts. The only rival fans that get in have proven to not be trolls.
There are multiple alters daily on this board, so that's why you probably didn't get in with zero posts.

Well then I should definitely be in, because I spent the Summer of 2003 in West Africa winning souls for Jesus. Or at least trying. I can submit proof of that, too.

Plasmodium Vivax. Had to take several courses of Mefloquine and Primaquine for several years after I returned.

I am Catholic but pretty sure that's not how it works
Still curious the Jesus pitch in Africa. What do you do build a water well and have a few cold stream feed h20s and talk about salvation?

No idea bro.
I was in Africa once, and I wasn't spreading the Gospel.

Brief stay in Egypt in the mid 80's. Part of Ronnie Reagan's goodwill tour. Kadafi was touched.

That's actually almost exactly what we did...except this people group was nomadic, so we moved around with them during the last part of the rainy season and the first part of the dry season so we could figure out where water collected and map out possible locations for freshwater wells. We were pretty much the first Westerners a vast majority of these people had encountered. We didn't do any open proselytizing; that was supposed to come much later. We just tried to live by example. Unfortunately, a lot of unrest in the area has made things very difficult on almost all humanitarian efforts.

Language barrier?
Good for you for helping. Is nomadic life really sustainable?
