We've got a tour event in our area and no thread yet. Made my way up today and watched a little. Play suspended and the afternoon guys have to go out early to finish. Went to watch my boy The Hillbilly get after it and before the round we were shooting the shite and he said that the greens there are the fastest he's ever played in a tour event. Thinking this baw might be stretching the truth, I called a buddy that caddies for Scott Brown and he confirmed.

If you get a chance to get out there and watch, it's an easy course to walk and see some of the boys with their names on their bags.

Cruising to the tournament early Sunday morning and will follow a group then double back and walk with the last group in.

As a previous post mentioned, it is an easy course to walk and you can get up close with the pros.

I have yet to find a way to avoid the bus ride in...

I'll take you down the Pearl River and drop you off at the SE corner. No promises from there

That's the only way to avoid the bus

Heard they had a good day yesterday before the sirens went off. Greg Sonnier from Lake Charles got off to a good start, so it would be fantastic for him to have a great event! The weather forecast looks good for the weekend - I'm looking forward to being there on Sunday!

Sonnier is struggling a little bit since the restart. Probably going to need 4-5 under on his second 18 to play the weekend.

This might be the worst field of the year. Usually there are at least a couple of top end players.

I believe the field is better than at least the last couple years.

It’s the first year it’s not an opposite field event. Always should have a better field with that being the case.

-This tournaments first year without an opposite field event
-New Tour schedule for everybody, which will take some adjustment
-October dates for this tournament next year

All very positive signs for Jackson going forward.

And they have arguably the hottest merch of any non-major.

One of the radio guys told us that he was getting texts from all over from friends and fans wanting a hat or shirt with that simple logo

I was lucky to get the last grey lid in my size, and that was Friday
