Straws I think the luck of the draw is what happened...we get turnover with Tabors big hit/fumble on Worley at their 30 yd line and the plain fact is that the turnover alone juiced us up....
I touched on that a little bit. He got the best field position of the game and didn't do much but complete a single pass and run the ball (admittedly for ten yards). The rest was done by ground and pound.
But, even in that small time the team seemed to really respond to him being on the field and clearly see him as a leader and not Driskel.

Take this fwiw...
Yesterday I was at Wal Mart in Gainesville on Archer shopping for a few things, and I had to return an item I bought 2 weeks ago.
A big guy was talking to the Wal Mart employee handling returns, and I overheard some of the end of the conversation...
Employee : "Tell Muschamp to let Treon start"
Big guy (looked like a football player, but I couldn't recognize him) : "Hes got too or he'll be fired."
Again, could be nothing, and could be flat out BS. But if that guy was on the team, it just shows how much pressure Muschamp is under right now to allow Treon a legitimate shot to win the job.

Muschamp may decide to split qb'ing against LSU if he and the staff don't feel 100% confident about Treon yet...the last thing you want is to ruin the kids confidence and have him in front of 90,000 laying an egg.
We can beat LSU and Treon will learn from every game and every snap in practice. The situational learning of the game is what is sometimes the toughest for young qbs...hell even older qbs. The qb needs to understand the complete rules of the game and what to avoid doing and what he needs to do. Nothing that cant be taught...but true frosh have only high school as a point of reference til they grow into college.

I am 100% with you in terms of him learning so he gets experience.
But I think based on what has happened after Driskel was benched and after listening to the post game , Muschamp HAS to start Harris Saturday.
If he wants to go with the 2 QB system for a while so be it. But Harris has to start the game. This decision will likely determine Muschamps fate.

And if Treon God forbid goes south on us by 2nd qt? Folks will be wanting Driskel and Muschamp is damned if he does and damned if he doesnt.
Grier is not ready....he is slight of build and needs the redshirt....so its the Driskel/Harris show.

We're also in agreement on this. I don't want to sound like a parrot but: The team likes Treon more, or just feel that Driskel isn't a leader and it's crucial.
Muschamp has a really hard decision to make (for him), but any strategist would say it's facile. Let him start. Give people what they want -- if he falls hard, he can come back and say: "Now do you see why I didn't play him?", and blame external pressures.

Straws you keep saying things like "the team feels like Driskel isn't a leader" or the team isn't "trying hard for Driskel" as if the team has it in for Driskel or something. Really though Driskel is a terrible leader who has consistently folded under pressure and failed to make big plays throughout his career. He always looks like a deer in headlights out there and plays tight and everyone can see it. He has had a couple of years to show something different but Driskel is truly just Brantley 2.0. Its not about the team playing harder for one over the other. Its about the better qb elevating the group around him.

How quickly we forget the Kentucky game. If only people would give him proportional credit for when he succeeds as when he fails we could possibly make some progress in this conversation so we could have some objectivity.
The team responds differently when Treon is on the field, what those reasons are for are up for debate (although it's already been lucidly talked about here regarding the team feeling salty over Tyler Murphy).
Say what you'd like, but the team has certainly not been playing as hard as they could be for Driskel -- and there have been adequate reasons for why this could be.
You can't have upwards of 5 drops in one game and look like a world beater.

Harris is suspended indefinitely.
