Yep, and it's time to play hardball with him. We put the deal on the table, it's on him with who he signs with.

I know Stricklin is absolutely fed up with the back and forth with UCLA because there's nothing to leverage with them.

Forde’d story not accurate. UFs offer still stands. CK is doing last minute demands. SS agreed to everything in principle agreement and is tired of the additional demands. ESPN report about Frost believed to be a leak to force CK to make decision. Sunday deadline still stands.

That's what people are saying, and I can't comment on if it's really just to force him -- but I know Florida is super done arguing over the contract.

They're pretty much walking away from the table with the contract there -- we're still in the running.

Bruins Insiders have said that he hasn't signed anything yet, and they don't expect anything in 48 hours, which just happens to be Sunday and when we were supposed to announce.

UCLA palys their last game tonight.

He was there 5 years and had 2 straight losing records. It's not hurting them wrt to Kelly.

Those candidates wouldn’t be to bad but I think they would cost to much . In my opinion I think it will be Kiffin or Strong . They are cheaper options with experience. Both are good fits here. I don’t think Kiffin has made anymore comments since the one he made when Mac was fired.

Lulz... He's essentially the best available (at least proven) coach... If Stricklin is sick of the demands, he wasn't prepared for this coaching search... Kelly was always going to put the screws to whatever teams tried to bring him in... It's rare to have that kind of leverage in one's career and he'd be silly to not take advantage of it...

These things (attempts at high profile hires) are nearly always a game of Russian roulette with the university on the receiving end of the bullet significantly more often (read nearly always).

So Chip isn't 100% coming to Florida and UCLA has a chance? Hmmmm

But the taxes and the facilties.

What I'm hearing this may be a power play by UF to force Kelly's hand. We still have a shot but it's shrinking.

Frost has been contacted by Nebraska in the background to gauge interest and if he goes anywhere it's most likely there. They most likely move on from their coach soon if Frost confirms his intent to go. His interview with us if it happens at all is to try and force their hand.

Also heard the administration went pretty far in on Kelly and to show him that we wanted him bad we didn't pursue hard a backup just in case and we may be playing catch up now on our other options I.E. most of our competition was not waiting for seasons to end to begin hard pursuits.

Other things I've heard.
Mullen- family did not enjoy Gainesville. Dont think he would come.

Strong- if we want him he's ours

Taggart- heard from someone that is friends with people in his family he said he's not leaving Oregon.

Holgerson-he would definetly be interested

Leach-heard nothing

Kiffin-i think he would come if we pursued.

Campbell-heard nothing

Norvell- heard nothing

Our Nebraska local media is asking Mike Riley about Scott Frost and if he would fire himself. Completely unprofessional bunch of hacks. Have some respect for a man who has never been anything but class.

Just trash

Flowers was a stud at USF before strong. Statistically he regressed this year.

A couple of interesting tweets tonight.

The head start UF enjoyed by parting ways early with McElwain is now gone. Stricklin must act quickly and decisively...

Couple of coaches that expect to be part of Chip Kelly's staff tell me they don't know what's going on & even asking me---they feel that FLORIDA is a no, but insist that UCLA not done deal yet--being told by Chip to hold on...both think something else might be cooking with Chip.

Franze Beard is now reporting on Buddy Martin Show that Chip Kelly overplayed his hand at both @GatorsFB & @UCLAFootball where he has burned both bridges. Now @Vol_Football is getting into the mix. As if this could not get anymore bizarre...??

What a shitshow

I have never felt CK was the right mix for UF and our rabid fan base. I just don't think he wants part of that boiling pot.

Kiffin, Petrino would be brash without the fricking air raid offense that would doom us to mediocre seasons. No matter how good your defense is....an air raid offense will wear out any damn defense....and we would be losing games 48-44 type crap. The WV coach? Have you seen his fricking record? He belongs in the big little 12. Look at the scores of the fricking games.

I love the OC at Utah...just watch their offense combine run/pass with all kinds of wrinkles.

kelly had a few top 20 defenses at oregon while running more plays per game on offense than most teams.

did it with inferior talent as well. kelly having bad defenses at uo is a myth. had a few average defenses, but never bad. especially considering the number of offensive plays they run. kelly isn't an air raid coach.
