That's your opinion. Maybe he likes not having the pressure. The area is nice and LA sells itself. Just look at USC. They can match anything we offer.

frick no they can't.

Their facilities are behind ours.
They have a 15 million dollar buyout of their coach and his assistants.
They don't have the ease of recruiting that we have (especially with USC beating them every year).

Oh, and also: Andreu was full of shite.

I misspoke on earlier Tweet about Kelly. I should have said he may want to talk to UCLA before making a decision about where he coaches next.

And if he wants to just glide around at UCLA as TJ said, he doesn't belong at Florida.

But I don't believe that's what he wants, I truly believe he wants to win championships -- why the frick else would he ever consider coming back into the game?

He certainly won't get that at UCLA on back to back losing seasons with a huge buyout (meaning less money for facilities and coaches), less recruiting and a better school a stone's throw away.

Kelly to Florida, book it.

Their facilities are being built right now. LA is a whole lot more fun than Gainesville. We compete with every major team in the country too. Moras buyout is not an issue.

Chip Kelly may end up at Florida when all is said and done, but don't underestimate UCLA. They are a very real threat.

Our facilities are being built, too.

Chip Kelly doesn't really come across to me as ''fun'' while he's in Connecticut/NH with a very close-knit amount of friends.

It isn't his buyout alone: It's updating facilities, it's his buyout, it's his assistant's buyouts' on top of everything that they're doing. This is just not the year they're able to do this.

I love you, TJ, but UCLA is no where near a better job than Florida. Not even close in regards to everything football related.

Stop. Chip Kelly would kill it at ucla just like He would here. Cali has a ton of talent. FSU, Bama, Clemson, Miami etc are all nearby. What the former coach did has zero impact on Kelly long term.

They're not.

Money - Push.
Recruiting - Florida easy.
Prestige - Florida easy.
Championship Contention - Florida easy.
Facilities - Florida easy.
Fan Base - Florida easy. (Most people in LA are Trojan fans.)
Night Life - LA. (Chip doesn't seem to be a guy all about that life.)
Conference - Gonna say push, just because SEC is decent but who knows.

So, in the one category wherein UCLA beats us, it's not football related.

Everything football related is in Florida's favor.

I'm not talking about just the previous coach, I'm talking about 20 years of irrelevance. Since 1998 they've won the conference ONE time.

They've won their DIVISION once in the last TWENTY YEARS.

UCLA is irrelevant in football and maybe he'd do well, but it's way more of a rebuilding...

Okay, more of a ''building from scratch'' rather than ''rebuilding'', because the last time they did anything of significance you nor I were even born --

It's way more of a rebuilding project than Florida, and everything I've read tells me that he has no want of going to the PAC at a mediocre school to fight for the scraps that USC doesn't want like he did while at Oregon.

i agree. if we don't get kelly or frost then strick may as well resign. can't help but think that some of uaa may have gotten a bit to demanding with kelly.

the only thing that saves this mess without frost or strick is SOS. odd set of initials all of the sudden. he could still coach and win for sure.
