Sure there were drops, but from Franks' position: He stepped into the pocket, made his reads and did exactly what he needed to do to keep us in the game. He also hit some pretty damn good throws down the middle (which we haven't done all year).
The defense looked on point, offense drove and SCORED touchdowns and special teams was at least decent.
We held UAB -23 points under their average.
We got +11 points more than they've conceived on average.
We held them -182 yards below their rushing average.
We had possession for 42:04, way better than we've had.
It's hard to say it, but I'll be damned if we didn't look like a real team yesterday.

I remember watching a night game of Oregon vs somebody, cant remember, it was a few years ago. But i DO remember before one commercial break they showed a cheerleader, she was very big up top and she was moving her arm over her head and it caused the top to rock back n forth. I was like holy sh**, i think Jessie Palmer was commentating with someone and before they went to break as it faded out you could hear Jessie say "WOW!"

According to a reddit poster there is an insider thread somewhere yesterday (24/7?) that says the deal is done, all vetting of assisstants done, working on clauses from the NFL contracts. Goldkamp didn't write it, but agreed.

ESPN finally came out and asked Chip about our job. Obviously he knew the big question was coming. He said he was in NHAMP all week, and that UF is an outstanding program and whoever gets the job would be lucky.

Also from reddit just now... Wow, Sportscenter AM just put Kelly on the spot and put the big Gators logo behind him and said what’s your level of interest? He said “are you trying to fire me?!” And laughed. He then said “it’s a great program with a ton of success under Meyer, Spurrier. Whoever gets that job would be extremely lucky.” He reiterated that during the week he’s in New Hampshire though, not Bristol (to shutdown the flight rumors). Good news is...he certainly didn’t seem NOT interested. And when first called on the carpet he was was fiddling his legs quite a bit. Call that an over observation, but people tend to be fidgety when lying or nervous.

Some really good things:
1. His nervousness is a clear sign that he wants to say something that he can't, and it's not a denial.
2. He never denied the rumors about Florida, just deflected.
3. Was not blindsided, he knew this conversation was coming -- and I think is working with Stricklin to get us to calm down and be patient. (Something I've been trying to say for weeks now).
He is most definitely coming to Florida, just seeing his body language and how much unease he has, it can't just be smoke. There's fire there, mateys.
