Havent posted this before but I have been focusing a lot on our TEs the past two games and I was dismayed at what I saw. # 83 is a great receiver and # 30 Goolsby ditto (except one bad drop vs Bama)....but blocking by them was not good at all. We really need a couple of bulked out TEs in the 260 range that can help pass block.

Blocking has to be an emphasis after seeing so many matadors this year. SEC defenses are so quick and powerful in this day and age that you have to account for them by blocking with everything you got.

A TE that can block is extremely critical when the tackles are not able to handle the DE on their own. This year that was a big part of the protection problem, hopefully this will be solved with recruiting better O-line talent. I agree we need a Ben Troup kind of TE, just in case. Go Gators!

Artayvious Lynn could fill that role.

I really like McGee dont get me wrong...he is a team player and looked up to in the short time he had here...but blocking was not very good against DEs.

I like Goolsby and C'Yontai in the passing game, but I completely agree that this class needs a physical presence at tight end. It appears Shannon is on the trail for a tight end while Mac and Nuss are locking down Eason and Piñeiro. And Matt, BEN TROUPE LINK

I didnt even mention Goolsby ...but look up replays when # 30 is on the field and he is a liability blocking...I know 2 instances where # 30 whiffed and had Treon sacked by said pass rusher almost untouched. Goolsby and Lewis both need to gain 25-30 lbs imo.
