Holy shitski...what a collection of tired laundry pressers. I do like Rocker for his varied travels in coach hood, but he is probably burnt toast by now...AU doesn't want him.

Rocker is a damn good coach but doesn’t like to hoof it on the recruiting trail. He’s not at Auburn because they have Rodney Garner who also played at Auburn.

Well it appears that Robert Gillespie has been let go, one of their better recruiters and an ex Gator. UT has/is been in a tailspin for years...might be finishing below Vandy in the east ?

The curse of Fulmer strikes again.

I think their staff is an upgrade over the prior one, but doubt they will contend for the East for the first few years. Their roster is pathetic and the transition class did nothing to put them ahead of schedule.

Nothing I have seen from Pruitt thus far makes me think he is going to be an elite coach. Wait and see yes, but just not a good start so far

I dunno. The recruiting class fell victim more to high expectations caused by the early signing period and getting in on some high level guys that didn't come through more than anything else. It was a pretty good class given the circumstances but not what we wanted -- I think most of us felt that we had a chance to break into the top 15 rather than 20. That was probably naive given that Pruitt had ~4 weeks on the job full time.

I'm actually very happy with the staff that's been put together and surprised Pruitt was able to pull in so many heavy hitters despite being a 1st time HC. The S&C coach and OL Coach Will Friend are amazing pulls.

BUT... We still have roster issues and a 1st timer at the helm. We're not as bad as last season would lead folks to believe but we're just not very good right now either. I have no idea how Pruitt will do as a HC but I think he's done a good job so far despite losing points with fans for not landing enough big fish in the first class.

We're probably a 6 win team next year and that's really all I expect. How Pruitt turns out is a mystery but I can say that staff is the one thing that he's done exceptionally well with. And FWIW, Cole Cubelic agrees with me regarding the staff he's put together.
