1. The offense works better with LDR. Period. I know nobody seems to like him, but he is sharper. Two more years of playing showed that. He deserves to start. He is a good actor, and he has shown that he can open up running lanes just by waiting a second.

2. Something is changing in the fourth quarter. This is the second game where, somehow, we manage to get two touchdowns in the fourth quarter. I don't know what it is, but it can't be coincidence.

3. The team has a ton of talent, and hopefully this will get McElwain at the very least motivated.

4. 9 players down, best linebacker out, on the road against a super energized Kentucky, we pulled it out.

5. 400 yards of offense.

6. 7 plays for 80 yards, 13 plays 58 yards won the game for us, and the defense nearly cost it for us.

I think in the end of the day, the biggest thing is: How did they not know Del Rio was the guy?

1. I guess... he made a big play on 4th down, and that pass to Powell that Powell fricked up by just wandering out of bounds was nice, but the INT was REALLY bad, and the slant pass on 4th down HE STARED DOWN was also really bad. That being said, the team played better with him in. But remember - UF ALWAYS PLAYS WELL AGAINST KENTUCKY LATE. He might not have the same impact on other teams that he had on Kentucky.

2. It's called desperation. And playing UT and Kentucky - two teams that aren't very good.

3. The team has a lot of individual talent, but they are inconsistent as hell, and the defense is a mess right now.

4. They did what they had to do. Scrappy win.

5. Yes! They ran the ball far better than I thought they could.

6. Hard fought final drives.

MY OPINION - THIS STAFF DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO MANAGE A QB ROOM, AND IT SHOWS ON THE FIELD AND IN HOW THEY SELECT THEIR QBS. THIS IS ULTIMATELY WHY AT LEAST NUSS WILL EVENTUALLY LOSE HIS JOB.

Final Edit - That last 45 minutes was a lot of fun. I really like this team. They are fighters.

When I heard on TV that Del Rio was warming up...I was ecstatic. Not because I don't like Franks...he will be a great one imo....when he settles down. He could have thrown 3 picks that were dropped off richocets by WRs when Franks tried to gun high and too much mustard,

As in high school....he just gets too emotional and as a QB that's not always the best thing. He needs to learn to calm the frick down and throw with touch.

I know one thing ....my heart cant much more of this last second drama.

Oh BTW Slayer....stop blaming coaches...Franks was very ineffective for most of the game...0-6 on third downs? The coaches knew they HAD to make a change. The Int that LDR threw BTW may have been partly the WRs fault for not coming back to the pass...which I believe was the playcall. Franks stared down a few WRs my friend and he just has to settle down...it was only his third game period. Some QBs do well as true frosh...like Fromm...but look at his build, he is solid with guns. Franks is still skinny and needs the training table. He will be a great one.

We're way too conservative in quarters 1-3 and then in the 4th it appears there's a more sense of urgency. Some of the play calls are still stupid (running the toss to the short side) but the urgency is obviously greater in the 4th

What ever they do in the 4th quarter needs to start happening in the 1st.

Yeah, Del Rio threw the pick but really that's just coaching. He came in really cold, then came back and converted a fourth down throwing back against his body. I'm telling you though, when we watch the game again (everyone knows we will), watch Del Rio audible.

He also made a good throw before the pick, we got a little spark and the big thing is: The defense saw that we were going to throw it. They backed up a little, it opened up the run game.

Franks, through three quarters only had 85 yards. Del Rio got 74 in a quarter and a third, coming ice cold off the bench.

Worse off, 45 of those 85 yards came off of a blown assignment by Kentucky.

That means, through three quarters, earned yards through the air: Franks got 40. He just ain't ready.

LDR is a lot calmer then Frank's . I would hope the coaches could actually coach him him up and get him to calm down. If LDR is going to start then we need more wild cat with Toney playing QB . He had the best pass of the day and looks to be the best athlete . We can't beat good teams with LDR as the starting QB . UGA has started true freshman the last 2 years and both looked better then any QB we have had under Mac .

This offense is still a complete mess and we need a major change . Nuss needs to be fired ASAP . I would rather let LDR call plays then Nuss.

We have play makers on offense but the coaches can't seem to find ways to get them the ball. Toney should be returning kicks.

I don't under stand why the offense changes in the 4 quarter and actually looks like an offense. Are we going to have to wait till the play calling cost us games before we make a change ? I would like to see Mac get pissed and actually show he cares about this sad offense.

I had this game as an L because I knew it would be tough for Franks in a hostile environment...and it would cost us the game...if we hadn't changed QBs, I doubt very seriously we would have won.

We are so young in many positions and its good news/bad news, bad we will have to continue playing frosh, but good that tonight they got a world of experience and learned to win 2 games in a row late.

I think Toney got slightly injured late in the game and don't get more balls because of it. This was a very physical game and a lot of fueds on the OL/DL.
I saw # 71 and # 68 hold so many times...grabbing jerseys in plain sight...with no flags. Block in the backs? Sure...a couple of times...along with holding our return teams when they punted to us. The real problem I saw was the dismal failure on special teams punt coverage...even if they held some guys, we didn't cover crap.

Fair enough. I have no idea what to expect moving forward now. Every game is going to be a dog fight for this team.

I thought I was going crazy because there were so many plays where the defender was with his back to the play because THE MOTHERfrickERS HAD FISTFULS OF JERSEY. Like, blatant, no way, no how you could call it another way.

And I don't think Franks had it in him to come back from that, Del Rio bailed out the team, as did Wilson. Jesus frick, why are Freshmen balling the frick out? Underclassmen in general.

Another thing that is weird is: Comeback wins. Florida usually doesn't win like this. Usually we just give up, let the other team win pretty easily.

Watching us do it a couple times a year is kind of baffling.

The good news is: We beat Kentucky at home, who beat SC at home (handily). Georgia is the only real team on our schedule that is gonna threaten us.

LSU is horrible, A&M has no defense to speak of and Vanderbilt just got wrecked.

At the risk of having something hurled at me for saying something positive about the man, perhaps it's because Mac and staff are actually pretty good at spotting these 3* that are actually ballers. I believe Davis and Toney were both 3* recruits.

Toney was a 3 star, Davis was a 3 star when he committed but eventually was bumped to a four star.

UKs DL were especially guilty of holding # 54 Clark who is a freaking beast and unblockable. The refs who did the UT game were at the A&M-Arkie game. They would have thrown more flags trust me if they would have done this game. An OL cant grab a jersey and hold on for dear life like I saw many times....because I love watching OL & DLs. They also held Zuniga and Polite of course or hooked them. On one play the OL came back when we were chasing UKs QB and made an obvious block below the knees from BEHIND! So easy to hurt a player that way..should have been a clipping or blocking below the knees foul.

On another note...please don't let TJ know about how well a * 3 star is playing...it damages his argument about our staffs recruiting .
