I have never fricking said that, and I have outlined multiple times that he's successful in ways he doesn't want to play as. He wants to be a hero QB, he's a checkdown QB. I say good things about him, but it's because it's limited to that.

Honestly, if this dude was on another team none of you would bat an eye. I've consistently said that Fromm was a bad QB based on how he read the field, and that despite the numbers he was throwing it was inflated due to other pieces of the offense. (Specifically the running backs.)

They are the same Quarterback outside of Fromm being much more accurate.
Why is it that I only have a vendetta against Franks when I talk about Fromm the exact same way? Quarterbacks who are only good when the circumstances are good are not good Quarterbacks, for Fromm, for Franks, anyone.
If context matters so little to you, we won't advance this conversation because all I have is numbers, images and videos. I really pay attention to Quarterbacks, it's not an accident that I called Fromm being a bad Quarterback last year when everyone laughed at me.

I can definitely explain WHY Straws is so anti Franks, he sprouted all summer that Trask would be the starter and when he saw he was going to be WRONG..his fragile fricking head cant take it. He is in a frickING tailspin, get over it Straws, you need mental help dude. Its ok to be wrong.

This is going to sound absolutely insane: But I'd keep Feleipe. I can't stand him as a Quarterback, but I know that he has the TOOLS to throw downfield. You'll get no contention from me, I think and thought Fromm was bad.

Looks like the way things are going, we will have 2 more years of the Reel vs Straws discussion over Franks, unless of course he leaves his junior year for the NFL.

One more year max, and even then I think he's going to struggle to keep the job.
A Mullen offense with no mobile Quarterback means our chances to win what he came here to win are much less. We got bailed out by championship level play both on defense and special teams the last few weeks, but that kind of luck will run out.
Franks isn't going to keep his job over Junior Emory or Sophomore Jalon unless he learns to run, make quicker decisions and lessen his mistakes. Up until this point it's been fortune over skill.

We can agree, to disagree. No coach will pull the starting QB if the team is winning and he is playing well. If we finish this year our strong, Franks will start next year, if we have a good year in 2019 Franks will start in 2020. Unless he regresses, implodes, gets in trouble, takes PIDs, etc. There may be packages for the other QBs, like he did with Tebow when Leak was the QB but unless shite hits the fan, Franks will be the man.

The idea that a coach is going to stick with a kid because he has a decent year the year before is so mind-numbingly naive.
People said that about Fromm, now look what's happening.
If you guys think a coach is going to pick a guy he didn't recruit in a system that isn't a fit for him over a guy he DID recruit for HIS specific system, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn that you guys will find very appealing.

Straws, I'm not getting into this argument with you. Reel and you have enough going on. Apparently, you haven't been involved in team sports, particularly football, to believe some of the stuff you think will happen. I will just leave it at that. Go Gators, don't be a negaGator! Franks will be our QB for as long as he is the best on the team to give us the best chance to win games, the longer he has the job, the harder to replace him if he is that guy.

Stop giving him credit when QB is the worst ranked position on the team right now? Be reasonable and objective about his upside?
My response is usually, specifically, to these notions that he's 'carrying' the offense when it's clearly the other way around. And he doesn't suck, he's just not good. He has a single stat that is hyper inflated by field position and turnovers, but the rest are, once again, mediocre.
That's all I'm arguing, you guys love to make it personal when you run out of excuses.

I agree. I will support him as long as he is a Gator. I would love for all of our players to continue to progress and end up in the NFL. I understand being upset with how some players play but I'll keep supporting them.
