Blake Alderman tweeted, and Goldkamp retweeted stating:

“Will be interesting to see what he can add, reports out of fall camp have been mixed on him so far.

Regardless, can't do anything but improve the depth.

Big knock on Shorter out of Penn State was his hands. Sources in camp at UF have been concerned about his ability to separate.

But have also heard some positive things of late. May not be a player on the team I'm more intrigued to lay my own eyes on.”

Certainly nice to have another talented athlete out there. Honestly, my expectations at this juncture are pretty low though. He hasn't had anyone raving about how good he is since he was in high school.

He's still a junior and honestly he might be the fourth best WR on our team right now. Toney, Grimes and Pitts?

They'll give Shorter a lot of 1 on 1s if they're all on the field at the same time. Remember we also have Copeland.

It's nice to have the raw talent that they can handle for the next few years and start to tune him up -- and then it also gives us a lot more depth that we weren't expecting.

It's a pretty solid addition.

Straws I couldn’t agree more. It’s been refreshing watching our roster progression and depth grow exponentially. I was in high school during the Urban Meyer years, and it seems like it’s been an eternity since we’ve had depth beyond 1-2 players across the board.

I’m not in the camp that says we have to win it all this year. We’ve been humbled by a lack of true leadership with vision for so long, that I’ll appreciate the climb back to the top and fun games every week. It took Dabo years to establish Clemson as a powerhouse, and now that run won’t stop anytime soon.

It’s significantly harder to climb out of that hole in the SEC, so I’m very pleased with Mullens progress so far!

I'm just happy with the direction of the program right now. I want a lot of wins this season, but the thing about Mullen that I liked was that we were competitive in every single game we played, even LSU at Death Valley.

I never felt like we were completely outclassed or outmatched, even if we lost the games. This will only get better as Mullen gets his own players and filters out McElwain's.

I think Copeland is a more complete receiver than Toney. Toney may finally come around as a complete receiver this year, but I have to see it to believe it.

Shorter has absurd potien6tial. Maybe the change of scenery does him well. If he has his head in it and puts in the effort, kid could be scary good. He is tall, but dynamic. Terrifying for defenses.

Mullen said that he "likes his work ethic", whatever that's worth. I'm sure he'll see a lot of work this season.

The work ethic comment is good. Sometimes players need a new home.
