If the offense doesn't improve a lot, does he deserve to be back next year?

I'm becoming more and more convinced he should be fired.

I think Mac needs somebody that will challenge his style a little. They both seem to run the same style, etc.

No. Him, summers and Nord need to be gone. Rumph, Collins, and Shannon need to be on the chopping block too unless their coaching/recruiting improves too.

Rumph and Shannon are two of the best recruiters in the country. I'm not crazy about Collins but our defenses have been good under him so far

Shannon is average all the way back to his UM days. Rumph has done terrible at DT recruiting.

Who on the staff deserves to stay then, other than the head coach?

All of the defensive staff is good and deserves to stay. It's the offensive staff that's the problem. Shannon actually seems like a good person to promote to the DC job if Collins leaves to become a head coach.
