I'm hoping we can at least line up without stupid motion penalties. Then hopefully look like we know what the forward pass is. This offense has been a mess for a long time. It's going to take some time to clean up.

I think one Summer with the right guy and our class stays together next year is sufficient.

McElwain wasn't a good coach, but the roster isn't poor. Outside of the quarterback, everything has looked better -- Cleveland and Toney, Davis and Perine.

The line got wrecked, but our playcalling didn't help. Playing conventional, Pro-style football against a pro-style Gerogia team was possibly the most retarded thing I've ever seen.

But now we have depth at the line, with strong recruits coming in and a lot of offensive talent coming in.

The defense, too, lacks upperclassmen and we should be returning everyone of substance at every level outside of the defensive line.

Defense has a lot more issues than that. Need a lot of work at DT and LB. A lot. Safety outside of Harris is questionable as well. Defense has major holes to fill.

I'll be worried if we don't come back well on defense this next game. McElwain wasn't inspired at all, wasn't talking to anyone (knew his goose was cooked) and we walked flat-footed against Georgia. They shut Georgia down in the second quarter, and most of broken plays were well after Georgia had asserted itself.

Georgia had two short fields to work with in the first quarter, and you could just see that they were not thrilled to play in this game -- and who could blame them? We weren't even going to give them a chance. They knew they were fricked the moment Franks went in there and went 3 and out, then had a pick on third down to give them the ball almost in the red zone and then I think they just gave up.

I'm not overly concerned with the defense after Georgia -- they've played well the last few weeks outside of that game and obviously we're missing our safeties -- pretty much the backbone of the defense.

Gardner is no safety and Harris is way, way better than any safety we have on roster.

We'll be fine on that side of the ball, and with the right HC we'll light it up even next year on offense.

I think the right guy will have us winning immediately. This is Florida. Top athletes come here to play. The next coach will have to shore up positions on both sides of the ball. Defense may be harder than offense. Our LBS look slow/awful and DBS have poor technique. Long road ahead but that's the exciting part.

Our LBs and DBs are literally comprised of mostly freshmen and sophomores and a walkon.

We have 8 underclassmen rotated at that position, and most of their poor tackling comes from them playing out of position. If Harris comes back and we can move an actual safety to that position it'll be a lot better.

Gardner is a garbage safety, but seems to be able to cover much better. Move him back to CB this next year and that alone fixes a lot of problems.

On offense, we just need to put the QB in the right position.

I actually think Franks could be very successful in a system that utilizes more quick decision playcalling.

I fricking hate watching him go out there and make fricking reads over and over again just to get sacked or run out of bounds for a four yard loss.

If we could get him into some quick looks, quick throws, get the ball out of his hands or maybe even try to sneak it with him, I think we could at least get some pressure off of him.

Defense has a lot of guys coming back, more depth next year and offense has the same. At least we're going to have pretty much an entire upperclassman team next year.

Have a board vote about it. Mac didn't get fired, there was a mutual agreement to part ways. After Monday's press conference I thought he would be gone too, I said as much all week long. In fact, no need for a board vote. I'm not leaving my own team's message board, especially a board that I enjoy and only has it's 9-10 regular posters.

You enjoying our program firing a coach and the team sucking so you could prove everyone else wrong is a damn shame. It shows what you're all about and I don't give a single frick if you think I should ban myself from this board.

While he may be. I was negative, but not happy. I was mad. Mad we are once again losing four games and im told he is a good coach. Mad I am supposed to be okay with average. Mad the product was clearly not good. I was never negative under Meyer. I would punch a man for a bad word about Donovan. Spurrier made me tear up leaving us. I may be a bad fan to some, but im no t unreasonable. If Mac looked good for us. He would have had my full support. He lost it during Michigan. Never was going to get it right that was my proof.

You'll see me positive for basketball season. I assure you that.

This is seriously stupid. There's barely any Gator posters as it is, and somehow we want less?

Seriously, the e-drama is really getting old to read. I'm a woman and don't think I've ever PMSed as hard as some of the men here are and have been over the past year. Mind-boggling.

And this is coming from someone who never quite felt Mac was a good fit and is seriously glad we're moving on to a new chapter. But chill. fricking seriously, guys.

It is time to chill and I ALWAYS support UF coaches until they aren't our coach any longer and I'm certainly not going to apologize for that.

Did I like watching meatchicken, dawg games? Hell no, but I have been through a lot worse.

I'm looking forward...not backward. Believe me...watch a whole video of 1989 games against UGA & AU if you want to vomit something up. Or watch 1978-79 games against Bama.

But back to the subject being discussed...our defense has been pretty damn good except for when the offense is a 3 and out machine. We have a lot more DL than some realize returning...yes...we do need more...but LB is crucial, DBs are so young and will be better with snap experience.

We should have about 18 starters on defense and offense who will be on the field in 2018 and add fast Eddie and our punters brother on kick/punts.

Our road trips will be UT, Vandy, girls school and Moo State I believe. We will have UK, USC, Mizzou, LSU at home + dawgs @ WLOCP.

Exactly. Mike White is a great coach. I'm not sorry for being a dick to those who shite on me when I could see this shite early on and still do. They can have their mediocrity by rooting for Syracuse or Tulane.

I truly hope you get help

For your bleeding a-hole where Mac rammed his dick the last 2.5 years.

Back on topic. When we get a competent offensive coach and fix the talent and depth problems on defense we'll be back to contending. Norvell, Frost and Campbell would be HR hires here.
