let's put aside our differences on whether or not mac is a good coach or not, and discuss each other's thoughts about the matchup itself and how the hurricane effects it this weekend. how do you want it to playout?

personally, i don't care. i'd rather not drive into a hurricane, but it is what it is. i wouldn't mind going to baton rouge either.

I really don't want to lose our only good home game this year. Best case scenario, push the game back to 7pm and allow people to drive up on Saturday morning, a full 24 hours after the storm is gone. But either way, I'll be at the game. Already putting together a plan to go to Baton Rouge, which I'll be alright with since I've never been there.

LSU fans don't understand that Gainesville isn't getting directly hit. UF will get some bands of the storm but it won't be a full on hurricane in Gainesville. Plus, the worst of the storm will be South Carolina's problem to deal with come Saturday. The damage will be bad but it won't be in Gainesville directly. That's what LSU doesn't get.

A hurricane doesn't destroy the state of Florida. The hurricane causes damage but the infrastructure of Florida is more equipped to handle big storms than say, Louisiana.

I hope Mac and Co beat the absolute frick out of LSU. We need to game close to GVille but far away from the hurricane enough for recruits to come. Personally, pay the buyouts and move it to November if it doesn't look any better.

Gainesville is about the safest place you can be during a direct hurricane hit. Big impact flooding is a non-issue, the winds always get weaker this far inland, and we hardly ever get tornados here.

I doubt winds in the city limits get above 40 unless the storm just keeps moving west.

We played Ohio in a goddamn tropical storm during the Zook years.

If we give this game up at home, on a big recruiting weekend, and go to LSU, then this staff officially has no luck whatsoever.

As I've commented before on the game itself, I do not like the match up. But if the Florida defense can play tough, and hold LSU to FG's, I think FLorida has a chance if LDR plays.

We just had Hermine early Friday morning last month and was able to play the next day. Gville isn't expected to get hurricane force winds from Matthew. I still think it'd be a good idea to move the game to noon on Sunday if it's possible.

Honestly, we have the cash- if we can't play Saturday - buy out both 11/19 opponents amd play then.

This is much ado bout nothing... if you look at marine wind forecasts...the winds shift ferom east to west by 1-2 at latest..Swamp is about 120 miles from Atlantic and storm will be Cat 2 by then and winds pushing it eastward. Saturday 20% chance of rain which is nothing but a typical Sept/early Oct day and breezy...which means girls with skirts will put on a show for us guys

We played a night game at AU with gusts of 45 mph and everyone lived through it. Come on....look...does the weather channel sell ads? Do your local TV stations? They want viewers and get nice ratings boost by scaring little old ladies. Keep it at 12 noon and make those bastirds blind with sunshine on the east sidelines.
