I'd prefer not to go back to Meyer. There's always this pull to think you can capture lightning in a bottle again. Far more often than not, the results are just mediocre and tarnish the memory of what was. That leaves the times when it actually works and the times it is an absolute catastrophe left, of which the latter seems to far outnumber the former.

North Carolina got a very good NFL coach, not the same. CFB is very different(see Nick Saban and Urbans try at the NFL).

Of course I don't want to keep Napier. Let's not create a false dichotomy here.
I am responding to this sentiment of bringing Meyer back when he goes (should he want to come). And before UNC got that NFL coach, they re-hired Mack Brown to mediocre results. Regardless of what Belichick is, they hired him based of a nation of who he was. That's two hires in a row made off who someone was.
I think nostalgia hires are a bad idea.

He did well after UF at OSU, so not seeing a downside. We very well know he can win here, has won in the NIL era.
