Watch this UGA vs. Mizzou game and tell me who objectively is the better QB.

(And fwiw, I don't have any faith in Franks.)

I'll say it, if we had Jake Fromm, we wouldn't be that much better.

Fromm is lucky that he has all the pieces around him. A third year line, running backs who will go out and get 10 yards when he misses an easy first down read.

He almost never has the game on his shoulders, his throws are all slants/short outs/dump passes -- but that's the thing he does better than Franks. He takes those short passes, doesn't try to be a hero. He knows his role is just to keep the defense from just loading the box and blitzing every down.

He's a decent Quarterback, but who knows what he'd look like if he didn't have all of the pieces he has.

It's Fromm. Let's not start this. Frank's has a long way to go still.

It's Fromm means what? His #s have been underwhelming so far.

He's averaging 185 yards through four games and his team has had 4 blowouts.

He just does what Franks doesn't, he makes the safe plays and protects the ball but I don't think he'd shine like he does at UGA if he was playing in the SEC West or, you know, at a team where the QB has to win the game.

If any team stops the UGA running game (they haven't faced a good defense yet), then we'll see what Fromm is like.

I agree Fromm isn't that good. But we would win more with him for now. By end of the year. Story could change. He does lack in many areas and will get exposed soon.

This is going to sound absolutely insane: But I'd keep Feleipe. I can't stand him as a Quarterback, but I know that he has the TOOLS to throw downfield. Fromm's entire offense relies on one-on-one matchups created by the running game and while he does checkdown, if Franks checksdown they're essentially the same player. I know it sounds stupid, but literally that is the only thing Fromm really does better and it makes him a LOT better than Franks.

However, if I had to choose who I'd rather have for ceiling alone, it's Franks. I agree he can be taught to be great, but the problem is it's in direct conflict with the type of Quarterback he wants to be.

UGAs offense gives Fromm a safety net. But I have seen his arm throw deep outs with zip. Can he throw the ball 70 yds? Hell no. Franks can, but we need run game to help keep blitzs off him. Its easy to see the defensive gameplan of every defense..stop run with a lot of men in the box if necessary and make teams throw. That's the goal of every defense.

When offenses gash for 7 yds on first down...then its easy pleezy.

Box...stop it. You are being a negative Nellie. And don't bash any UF players on the fricking rant game thread. Bad look. You can say shite but don't be a kneejerker...first play from scrimmage doesn't go right and you start blaming shite.. If we get down 7-0 the world isn't going to end. Relax.

Fromm is a good manager and will likely lose his starting Job to Fields next year . I wouldn’t be shock if Franks lost his starting job to a more athletic QB next year .

Nah, Franks is good as long as he doesn't turn the ball over and takes the checkdown. Franks can be a very good QB in that respect, but I wouldn't trust him to read defenses for at least two years. He's going to need a lot more time, but this night is promising.

Maybe he likes away games?
