I don't mind losing them. I'm 100% down for a mediocre 2022 season if that means starting to kick arse the following year. I'm looking at it like football chemo for a decade of cancerous hires.
It's just shitty that anyone in the past crew would do that. I've lost plenty of gigs over the years as a musician, but it's just unprofessional to shite on people over it. You take your lumps, learn your lessons, and move the frick on. And if you really want revenge, you get it by moving on to that next thing and being wildly successful, not by acting like a petty bitch to people who weren't even involved with your getting canned in the first place.

i agree. nape has to set the tone from the get go and build his program the way he knows how.
catering to teenagers is why teams like texas hardly do well and teams like uf fall off a cliff.
it's not like we have a team full of people who actually got into uf through regular admissions. they've had their butts kissed their whole life.
without a strong leader they succumb to passive aggressive attitudes and rebellion because they're immature and don't know how to behave as an adult.
all they know is emotion, frontrunning and vanity because that's what they're surrounded by their whole life.

Crazy talk imo. We needed receivers bad. We are messed over for the next 2 years at least if he doesn't get this recruiting going quickly and all these guys hitting the portal stopped.
Anyone that thinks this is good long term show me one good SEC coach that had a really bad 1st class on paper. Mullen even closed to have a decent class with ESD getting some right before early signing. All the good recruiters had a decent 1st class on paper followed by a real good 2nd class.

Mullen never recruited a single WR that did anything. They were transfers.
Plenty of WRs in the portal right now.

Exactly...And those first couple of classes of his that looked decent "on paper", never did anything...The best player Mullen ever signed, in my opinion at least, is a true freshman corner that played in this terrible year...Mullen's first two full recruiting classes were ranked in the top 10, his most recent full class was number 12, not to mention the class he finished up with after he was hired was ranked in the top 15, "on paper" talent wasn't the issue...Player development, coaching, consistency, stubbornness, accountability were all what sunk Mullen...He's a decent play caller, he's not a good head coach.

Mullen wasn't a good recruiter but about 8 of his first class signees did contribute a lot about like other recent Gator coaches with their first class and I think Burke will end up being a good WR. Mullen also signed Pitts that first class I think.
