I think secretly Mullen is giving him to either halftime or mid 3rd quarter at Neyland to secure the job for good. If he still looks rough at that point he is getting pulled.

Do you guys want me to do another breakdown thread of his reads?
I did note some things that he did better, including playcalling.

No need, Tennessee game is his ultimatum game.

Need the Tennessee game if they want to go bowling.

I mean, he almost lost the job today to a pretty terrible Colorado State defense at home.
I don't think he makes it out of half-time next game on the road.

It’s well known that you’re not a fan of Franks...but this statement is not true.
7 of his touchdowns came in the first half of the game, with an 8 coming while trailing vs UK.
1 TD pass came in garbage time, and that was today.

No way mullen benches him before half.

Who should we start ? I think Toney or Jones should get some time at QB . We need more of a running threat at QB . The offense is a lot better when we actually try to run the ball like Mullen is known for .

It pains me how little this offense gets our best players the ball. Where are Toney? Cleveland? Grimes? Jefferson? Combined 5 touches today. That’s fricking retarded.

Although it burns Straws shorts, Franks will remain our starter...period. Trask couldn't impress Mullen enough in practice....so get over it.
That 38 yd TD pass was because we finally started running the ball with Perrine. You have to run to throw well.
Franks didn't look good and I could point out several times DL were not pass blocked well...# 66, I wont say his name, but he engaged a DL and the DL just bullrushed him to almost sack Franks. BTW # 66 is boo cannon....but I wont say his name.
He did run block well a few times.
And we had the same dropped passes early on that has to be corrected. Franks did a pretty good job running. But he has to keep his cool and not get too emotional. But before anyone says anything...guess what other Gator QB drew an unsportsman flag? None other than Tim Tebow. At least it was offsetting flags.
Our defense needs to learn how to get off the field. # 11 must have caught 25 passes? It sure seemed it.
Pierce has to start getting the ball...he refuses to go down and has that burst. Scarletts TD run was caused by a wide open lane blocked well enough to drive a Mack truck through.

I saw he checked down a few times.

I agree . Mullen needs to find away to get the ball to the playmakers. I think Scarlet should be benched . Perine , Davis and Pierce all do a better job rushing the ball . This offense doesn’t look much different then when Muschamp and Mac were the head coach. Our playmakers still don’t get much touches and we are trying to pass the ball to much . I wasn’t a fan of the Mullen hire and he is doing a average job at best .

What do you expect with a team that was lucky to win 4 games last year?? Wow, guys
Oline is sketchy at best
QB's.. it is what it is
Wrs, I mean damn. 2 transfers came in and immediately started for us so..
Lb's are beat up and not deep at all
DL comes n goes, not impressive
DB's.. See LB's

Hoooooly frick how you guys can watch a QB at home struggle to get 100 yards against a team that averages 300 in the air and blame the offensive line, receivers and the defense but not blame the guy throwing to the other team is ridiculous.
You guys are going to be a lot sadder than me, trust me. You don't throw six potential picks with four hurries because you're a good QB.
>
What do I expect? A Quarterback who doesn't have more drops from the DBs than our RBs. A Quarterback who doesn't struggle to make a hundred yards.
Mullen will stick up for him as any HC would, but after this game if you have your eggs in the Franks basket you're just asking for omelettes.

Youre right, we're wrong. Happy? I dont know what else you want to hear.. Trask obviously isnt doing enough at practice to make Mullen consider putting him in.

Toney should be touching the ball 5-10 times a game. He's the most electric player on the field and barely fricking plays it's just weird.

When you make an argument, the point of it is to be right, so acting like I'm an a-hole because I AM right doesn't make sense.
I've done my homework and I pretty much 100% predicted this season.
Here's another prediction: When Trask is eventually starting, we're going to look back scratching our heads and wondering why this staff was so stubborn to start Franks this year.
Bank on it.
