The suspensions are hurting this team badly.

But i think poor offensive coaching is hurting it more. I'm not one to call for coordinators very often but this offensive coaching staff has to go.

Mac needs to clean house on that side of the ball if he wants to stay here past year four.

Not even coaching, I've said all over the place: We have the best looking producers on offense we've had in a decade at skill positions outside of QB -- the problem is that they're all underclassmen and their backups as well.

Suspensions and injuries is what made our best players underclassmen, so I'd say that hurts more than anything.

That being said, offensive playcalling hurt. Franks was on the deep side of the pool and is clearly not ready to run the offense -- if I had to gameplan I'd go spread (that's just me).

Literally every down four receivers, maybe even a tight end at slot with Zaire moving in a run pass option, or just a simple read option from time to time. When Toney is ready or healthy again, he can do the same. We have got to spread the field out and stop trying to hit max-protect deep developing routes with receivers who simply aren't fast or physical enough.

Other fan bases are more patient than the "what have you done lately" fans at UF. That is why we have problems getting good coaches and recruits. These fans are a cancer to the program with their constant negativity.

'Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh says "it's your right" to question play calls in loss to Michigan State, but it's "an easy thing to do.'''

Hilarious.

I would do the opposite. Franks can't play in a spread formation. He needs too much protection and doesn't make good passing decisions.

No, I would line up pistol because UF seems to work good out of that formation, two TE, 1 RB, 2 WR and just run it down peoples throats.

When people really load up to stop it, hit a TE on an easy play action pass.

UF is not a good team right now when the spread it out because of the inconsistency at QB and the OL.

He has no concept of a pocket -- putting more bodies around him has not stopped people. Did we forget we had three blockers on one rusher and the guy still got to the QB? Long developing plays don't work for us, won't work for us. Which is why have it an easy numbers game.

Are they covering every receiver with press? That's fine, run it -- Davis can break most tackles.

Are they focusing on the run? Quick throw to the edge.

Mix it up here and there, but asking Franks to sit in the pocket definitely isn't the answer. He has no pocket awareness -- at all.

I think we should be running 75% of the time. UF has good RBs and the line has been bludgeoning people.

UF should be running Georgia's offense right now, they'd be just about as effective, IMO.

Franks / McCoy can not read an A gap blitz to save their lives. Both of these guys are the named starters out of fall camp. To me, that is coaching or picking the right players to start.

Our offense is so complex it has to be dumbed down to the point of complete vanilla and predictablity.

I like your idea about the pistol. They need to run some underneath drag routes to Toney. The next time UF hits a drag will be the first time they have got one since Powell 2 years ago. Toney's thing should be wildcat with a pass here and there, an option run with Malik, bubble screens, jet sweeps and drags. Go 2 back every once in while and hit the area of the field that the blitz has abandoned with a quick pass to the rb and for the love of god throw it to a damn tightend every once in a while.

I guess if you did go spread you could just run and throw screens/stand passes all day on the outside.

That would have been good enough to beat LSU - which is why it's so frustrating that UF lost.

The offense as is was good enough. STs werent.
Franks hits Swain at the first down mark who loses ground then gets tackled short. Drive over
4th and 3, Franks misses Thompson for a first down as he throws into coverage. Game over.
So the plays were there, but the players gotta take some blame as well

It was garbage against a team that gives up points. 3 points in the first half is dog fricking shite.

They were fricking horrible. UF fair catches every punt but does not try to block any punts is just fricking retarded. Then the running into a punter negating a horrible punt.

LSU had some of their best players back for this game that had been out.

Guice was the only guy that was a star. He was contained. LSU played 3 FR on their OL and still dominated the LOS. None of their guys who came back either on offense or defense had a big impact on the outcome.

Do you even watch the games, or just look at boxscores?
Our backs all had over a 5 ypc avg. our defense had 7 TFL with 2 sacks.
I wouldnt call that getting dominated

Problems? Foley being contend with up and comer doesn't mean coaches won't come here. Dumb is dumb. You homers really make any excuse to keep mediocrity. College coaches are cocky. Not damn one is scared of our fan base being meanies.
