I would like to welcome our new AD to the University of Florida. 1st order of business will be to fix the train wreck of a football program. We are all splitting hairs arguing over what the problem is, when we shouldn't even be in a close game with Arkansas. I'm not being pretentious. We are in the middle of the best high school talent in the nation. We are the top school in the state with the most fan support and most money, and we play in the richest and best conference in the country. No reason for us to be a middlin' team.

I know we're all pissed off but it's not splitting hairs.

1. We have to get a quarterback, fast. And we're probably going to look at JUCO and transfers again.

2. Playcalling. Right now we're trying to force square pegs in round holes.

Aside from that, Arkansas is good and we were the away team, came out flat, played too risky and got burned for it like we deserved.

We will see what the frick is going on after the SC game. If we lose that one, I give up on football for a while.

The defense gave up almost 300 yards in the first half. Arky ran and passed at will.

UF only gave up 14 points through 3 quarters. Arkansas actually does have a good offense - just FYI.

The defense did that with no help from the offense.

14 points. 3 quarters. We'd take that every day.

Hell, the defense also scored our only TD.

It is absolutely pointless to bench LDR for AA.

I was at the game, and he looks even worse when you were there and can see everything that he isn't seeing down the field. Earlier on in the game, our offensive line wasn't doing that bad with the pass rush, and there were guys open. I don't know who he was throwing to or waiting to develop.

You are right about Appleby though. He can just throw interceptions 40 or 50 yards downfield instead of 10 and 20 yards.

They are going to have to burn a redshirt if there is any hope at all of getting to Atlanta. Otherwise they are just admitting that they are playing for next year. We could very well lose the last three games if that's the direction the coaching staff decides to go with.

Honestly, this reminds me of the Charlie Weiss year (but far worse in terms of results obviously)- we're running an overly complex scheme that only works when you have a decided talent edge (Bama w/ Mac, and a bit with Nuss though that obviously didn't work out well given that Saban fired him) and/or a ton of experience (Michigan this year)-- we just don't have a scheme that's adaptable to talent on hand or can adjust to misfortune whatsoever.

There's a reason most playoff contenders don't run a pro style scheme anymore-- it sets you up for failure-- you can get that once every 5 years or so period where all of your offense is upperclassmen and look great but other than that you're trapped in mediocrity.

An OC change wont fix that- it's Mac's scheme.

Honestly, this is kind of like Charlie Strong at Texas-- he's a defensive guy so people ask why in year 3 his defense is still so bad- well we're only in year 2 but our offense under Mac has yet to reach the "heights" we achieved under Muschamp in his final season.
