They are gonna have to zone read him to death. Basically tell him during the week of prep work "Treon to win this game you are gonna be sore for a month afterwards".

I agree with this . I think we should run some zone read and maybe even hurry up against BAMA . I have faith coach Mac will find a weakness in that BAMA defense.

We ran the ball some against VU with the jumbo set and extra blockers and Im telling you its the only way we can move the ball on the ground against stout defenses...with numbers. Other than McGee...our two TEs Goolsby & Lewis are in the 230 lb range and not useful blockers yet. This is why we have to bring in DL to help out....we certainly dont wanna use a thin OL for extra blocking needs. Need to play action more out of this formation to keep defenses honest.

I disagree 100% . BAMA is built to stop the power run like they shown against LSU. I think you beat BAMA by spreading them out and running hurry up. Make those big guys up front around .

I'll see your 100% and raise it 100%. You have to run the ball against every team you play...we cannot win with less than 100 yds rushing against Bama and probably need 150 yds. We can run the ball with SEVEN OL/DL combo sets and we just need Taylor + 2 frosh RBs to break a few 10-15 yd runs along the way. The other part to this is stopping THEIR run game...which I have more confidence in.
We start throwing and get behind too many times in down & distance it will be a long night for Treon. He needs to throw to McGee a lot to save us from sack city.
And there is no guarantee we will even play Bama...they have 1 SEC loss and play @ Miss St and @ AU.
Oh had to edit to include this....dont laugh but the west could be sending a 2 loss team to the SECCG...Bama loses to either Moo State or AU...LSU loses to Arkie, or @ Ole Miss (best scenario) or A&M. Bama has the tie breaker, but what if Bama loses to Miss State AND AU? It could happen...not likely but thats why they keep scores.
We could lose to USC and there could be a real downshift in the SECCG. Still a lot of football to be played. I believe there were 12 undefeated major programs just two weeks ago and its now six teams? Doubt there will be more than 1 undefeated team in the CFP...maybe none.

Bama's DB'S are horrible. They still don't know how to locate the ball. Spread their arse out with wide splits so their big lineman have to run sideline to sideline, throw dink and dunk with occasional deep passes. Quit sobbing on Bama nuts, Ole Miss beat them 2 years in a row and Tennessee took them to the wire.
Punch their arse in the mouth like OSU did and keep them on their heels. I'm glad our players aren't as wimpy as some of you sound...

For sure, that will never ever work for us with no outside threat. That's how LSU got the ball downfield, a bit of luck and one on one.

Callaway and Robinson are pretty good deep threats.
We gotta spread Bama out and throw the kitchen sink at them.
Run a lot of 3 TE sets.

So you think the best way for us to beat BAMA is to put our weakness against their strength ? Sounds crazy to be. Did you watch the BAMA LSU game?
Look at who BAMA struggles against . Spread teams with running QBs. If we don't spread them out we will get killed.

All I can say is this: LOOK at boxscores....ESPN has them for every game in their scores section...click on boxscore and then "team stats". Very simple....look at all the scores and then get back with me which winners had fewer rushing yds (Im talking about more than 10 yds).
89% is the average for winners....so its pretty smart to run the ball better than your opponent. I guess Im going to have to post the stats myself.

Alabama's strength is in the middle of the field. The only place Florida has a slight advantage in my mind is out on the perimiter. UF has to take advantage of that with quick throws, screens, and the occasional deep pass.
Running should only take place periodically, and only to keep the defense guessing a bit.

I am not saying that we shouldn't run the ball , I am saying we need to spread them out and run the ball out side and not line up and try to run right at BAMA . LSU couldn't do that and they have a better OL and the best power RB I'm college football.

I looked up box scores for all 7 of our SEC games . We are 6-1 in SEC games and out passed every teams we played but UK who barely beat us in passing yards. But we only out rushed 4 of our SEC opponents , LSU and Tenn killed us on the ground.
If we don't pass for more yards then BAMA then our chances of winning is very slim because they are a better running team.
It's unlikely we will out rush BAMA or FSU this year , so do you think we lose those games ?
