There is no way in hell I want a true frosh QB starting out the gate in 2018...haven't we suffered enough? I agree with Straws that Corral could get certain packages to get snap experience and slowly ease him into a starter....if he could supplant Trask and there is no guarantee of that. I think Fields is Mullens kind of QB and he would need packages for his skillset also. Even though Franks has been horrendous...he does have that arm and if he bulked up and learn to set his damn feet and throw, he could be a 3rd down QB at times....but he is a project with albeit some real talent not tapped yet.

So what is the difference in Mac trying to flip Eason while we already had Franks? When you have a chance to get a player like Fields, however small the chance might be, you try for it. Explain to Corral that them coming in together will help push each other to make them both better. Iron sharpens iron.

He took a free trip to a major university like a vacation -- and while he was on his visit to Alabama sitting in their stadium he posted the Florida Game on IG. It's not the same thing.

Nah, Corral took it like a champ -- but I still think Trask is the best fit for it so far. He's the only one with the size right now, but we have no idea what he looks like regarding his skills.

Pretty sure Chris Leak wasn't 6'3 235 and we did pretty well with him. Trask didn't even start in highschool and you wanna start him day 1. Cmon...Start Corral first year because it's gonna be a transition year anyways. Take your lumps now and develop Corral in to the future of this program.

What day one? He's been here for two years, and will be in his third year with Mullen coaching him up.
Second: Trask couldn't transfer to another school and he had a 5* quaterback in front of him. Texas has weird transfer laws.
We'll see who gets the nod, but if anyone can make Trask (who already has the body and height) look serviceable, it's Dan Mullen.
