His recruiting in Florida is going to be fricking crazy. I hope he can pave the way for a dynasty, be at Florida for a while and build the program.

Ppl keep bringing up the NFL, they havent called Chip in what, 2 years now?

It may be awhile before he is called again, if ever.

If they do, it means that UF will have won at least one NC. I will take that every time.

Simple for the offense, complex for the defense. Opposite of Nuss and Mac

Here's a dirty secret

His defense during his title game season was 11th in the nation.

Despite 106th in TOP.

Seems like he actually does know both sides of the ball. Just don't tell the detractors that. These idiots need something to help them sleep at night. They scared of Kelly at UF.

I am more worried about special teams than defense. UF has been consistently good at defense since Spurrier. UF has the whole DBU thing going despite its current DBs.

Does Chip Kelly hire the right guy to coach special teams and not ignore it like Mac did?

Special teams is one I agree. I think Oregon had good special teams though, not sure.

We know his S&C will be top notch. He was ahead of the game on the nutrition aspect and it lead to his teams being able to go break neck speed for 60 minutes, and few injuries.

So I'm happy we will have a good mind in the weight room again. Our biggest loss from the Meyer era was our S&C program. If Muschamp or Mac had what we had going then, we may still have one as a coach.

In Chip Kelly’s three years in Philly, the Eagles offense ranked 4th, 3rd, and 13th.

His QBs?
Vick, Foles, Bradford, Barkley

And that was the offense that supposedly “didn’t work”.

Don't let the narrative confuse you. Kelly's offense won't work in the SEC.

It's just not good enough for those big bad men at Vandy and Tennessee!!

I don't think anyone truly believes that. It'll be highly dependent on finding an OL that is a good mix of size and mobility (he isn't going to get away from the inside zone that the offense is predicated off of) and it'll be interesting to see if you can find a solid DC that is willing to come in despite the strain his offense puts on the defense (Jim Leavitt?).

There are some people who think that, because of his loss to LSU and Auburn, that his offense won't work in the SEC. There a lot of people who think that.

I'm not entirely sure it will -- but with Florida talent at every position (I heard he had like 5 players from Oregon actually start on his team his championship run), there has to be some form of improvement.

I also think that the East is considerably weaker than it has been for a while, so I think it'll put less strain on our offensive playcalling -- saving plays for certain teams.

It might not work, though, you just never know.
