When we start winning again he will.

Welcome back. Hopefully we take care of business and don't give you anything to complain about this year!

If the offense can get going and the defense is serviceable I'll be happy. We could go 8-4 but if the offense lights it up that's ok. We gotta have a QB step up. Hopefully not LDR though.

You wouldn't be happy if the offense lit it up with Del Rio?
Welcome back btw.

I think we'd all be happy - it's just not happening.

I'd be ecstatic. I just don't see it happening. He struggled big time against decent defenses in UGA and Miz going 33/63 367 yards 2 TDs and 4 picks.

I hope it's Franks because I think he's the guy of the future. But to be fair to Del Rio, he was only healthy for the first two games of the season last year and he was extremely effective in both games. After North Texas, he wasn't the same guy, obviously in part, due to his injuries.
I think Del Rio is a solid, capable option as an emergency quarterback, but I do not think that he should go into a season as the starting quarterback at the University of Florida.

I mean not to argue but NTX and UMass aren't great metrics to judge a QB by. We'll know for sure if he's any good when the games roll around

Yeah I agree, but his performance against a decent Kentucky team- 330 yards passing a few touchdowns and a pick, was one of the best passing performances we've had from a quarterback since even before Tebow. I think it was the most passing yards in a game since Grossman.
I don't think LDR has the talent to be the starting quarterback at UF and I don't think he has the durability to be the starting quarterback at UF. But I do think that he is a good guy to have on your roster in the case of an emergency where both of your top 2 guys go down to injury. Put it this way: I would rather roll with LDR as my 3rd string QB than Skylar Morhingwheg

Agree completely. Side note: most passing yards in a game was Tebow at 482 in 09 vs Cincy

That game against Cinci was just laughably unfair for them.

It was the most passing yards by a Gator QB in an SEC game since Chris Leak in 2004.
That was the stat I was thinking. Still impressive for a guy that probably doesn't have the talent to do that consistently. I think that says more about the potential of Mac's offense with a good quarterback than it does about LDR.
