I just want to see us in the game in the fourth. I trust these guys to close out games.

I wasnt calling out Dan, just saying it seems no matter the HC, our QBs are always a year behind the curve while other teams throw guys out there and ball

Oh I'm not complaining, I'm just saying that the guys he's going after aren't the best passers.

His "wants" in a QB go like this:

1. Stays out of trouble.

2. Is large. (6-2 at a minimum)

3. Is mobile.

4. Is a leader.

His philosophy is basically that because his QBs are such good runners, they'll open up the passing lanes and make the reads that much easier -- and he's right.

He just doesn't have the pieces yet since McElwain left such a mess in his wake.

I don't know what too expect Saturday but I do know this for sure aubbie is by far the best we have played may end up being the best team we play all year there resume is the best in college football so far our resume is 5-0 but have not beat a good team yet.

Miami 2-2 should have lost to Cent Mich.

Tenner 1-3 well they are what they are

Tucky 2-3 our toughest game to date

Towson and UT Martin the only teams we have beaten with winning records.

The AP Poll dropped us in the rankings I think deservedly so

I am excited where we are this Saturday we are going to find out.

We were 19 - 0 with Trask in the game. Whether you want to believe it or not: Trask is a better passer and helps open up the offense. Who knows what would have changed.

We all are, but I think we are better than people realize.

I'm also going to take great joy when the team starts playing to 100% of their potential. We basically treated Tennessee and Towson like scrimmage games to avoid injury and likely to avoid showing too much to our opponents.

I'm ready for the real team to show up.

People have been knocking us ever since our week 0 game against Miami. Yes our schedule has been bad, but since Trask has taken over we’ve been playing pretty well. Our DL is nasty, CJ is back, WRs are very good and Pitts is a weapon, Trask has a quicker release that will help against their DL, and the Swamp will be rocking.

My bottom line in 2 short statements;

Mullen will have to coach is arse off the get around this team's biggest weakness, the O Line.

The defense will have to pressure, pressure, pressure for the entire game.

If we are successful in doing both, it will be a great day for the Gators!!!

Agreed. I wonder what Auburn will do to try and cut out that short pass game. I'm sure they are aware that is the game plan going into the game. Hopefully if it's a lot of zone we can give Trask 3 seconds so the guys can get over top of the zone and hit for 12-20 yard strikes consistently to force them to back off some.

I think we are gonna run a lot of smash and mesh concepts with double tight ends and Grimes over the middle just to keep their linebackers from being a factor.

Mesh would be good to force them to defend the middle more for sure. I wish Trask had the roll out ability a little more than he does as well. I'm just praying we don't have a lot of "give up downs" where we run inside the tackles for 1-2 yards. I know you have to do it some to keep the defense honest to break it outside...but man it's rough to watch how bad we've struggled running between the tackles.

In the end, people don't really want to admit it but our passing game has been so much better and it helps us a lot on offense. I think the matchup is our TE/WRs vs. their DBs.

Pitts is a matchup nightmare because he's so athletic that he'll blow by linebackers -- and he has in all of the games we've played. He's also so large that if he catches it and a safety is there with him, he will be extremely difficult to bring down.

On the other side of the ball, Bo Nix has had very, very poor numbers as the Away Quarterback and has done very little in both of his games.

Oregon: 13 - 31 (41.9%), 177 yards, 2 Touchdowns and 2 Interceptions.

A&M: 12 - 20 (60%), 100 yards, 1 Touchdown.

25 - 51, 3 Touchdowns, 2 Interceptions, 277 yards.

I think this is probably going to be the wildest game that we've had in a while -- homecoming, special uniforms, prime time slot, packed Swamp.

Let's see what he can do when he can't hear anything.

I'm waiting for the "Aggie's had home crowd too" argument. They are not nearly as loud as it's said. They have a constant buzz like PSU, but they aren't insanely I can't hear anything loud at really any point for whatever reason. The Swamp changes games when we have a good, big time game.
