Bama is actually beatable

I watched their games yesterday and then film review from a few people who do a good job(YouTube Gator breakdown is fantastic and really goes into detail on intricate parts of the game)
Verse Mercer the right side of Bamas line was beat all game. Florida has to attack it hard. Make them go one on one with Carter or Cox or Moon on the edge because those guys will absolutely win that match up. Their left side is more sure so expect runs to that side far more and screens to the right side to try and force UF to commit someone extra to that side.
Their RBs are not as good as years past. Young is obviously insanely gifted but he is still young. They aren’t connecting well on deep routes yet. UF has to stop the 10-20 yard throws they love though. They run stem routes over the middle a ton and if you misstep in coverage it’s a huge gain.
The rain makes it far more interesting. The ball is slippery, meaning we may be able to jar the ball loose from Young once or twice if we are getting the needed pressure.
Their defense however; is just plain good. For UF to win we have to find a way to create big plays. How I have no freaking clue Bama is fast as hell and strong.
That offense for Bama is insanely young and fresh though. We can absolutely contend if we play aggressive and stop the soft zone bullshite. Young holds the ball a little to long still, make him pay.
I’m a little more optimistic than earlier in the week after seeing their games and breakdowns. I can see weakness, which wasn’t there last year.
End of the day though..Jones has to not lose the game. Which at this point I’m sure sure he can do. I’m hoping Mullen has saved his rollout packages and ways to get Emory out of the pocket for this game. Kid clearly can’t pass from the pocket but on the run he is pretty decent.

Losing Miller for the year is going to us on that side of the ball. hopefully Diwan can fill that role.

It hurts but we do have athletes at LBer it’s the one position we’ve landed quite a few highly rated players. I think LBer coaching is more of an issue than talent for us. That group of linebackers should be better than they seem to be sadly.

You can definitely pressure Young. I’d just worry about them hitting the hot route and breaking loose for tds.

Our defensive coaches are really bad you really expect them to craft a game plan that Alabama doesn’t exploit?
The only hope is the front 4 on defense dominates and even then it’ll be a struggle.

They are beatable and I’m damn sure pulling for y’all
In fact, I would love to see tWLOCP be a game with undefeated teams & everything on the line
Gators used to be in a game like that every year, but Free Shoes U ain’t gonna make it happen anytime soon…
Good luck today

Same. We’ve limited big plays more so far but we have to wrap up on first contact…which is not something we’ve been great at. I’m wondering if we try bend don’t break till the field shortens then go after Young in the red zone and try to limit Bama there. It may not be the worst plan ever. I’d rather give up yards and three points then big 70 yard TDS all day.

We don’t know how good they actually are. They beat an overrated Miami team and played Mercer. They lost their entire offense, they’re going to have some growing pains.

They are. The question is can Florida exploit them? I want to believe but it’s hard. If it’s raining decently hard it’s all about the run game and I think we are actually even with them there. Where they excel is those 10-20 yard passes and they are deadly.
I think Mullen has to coach the game of his life, and Grantham has to finally be the old Grantham and be ultra aggressive. Even then…it’s Bama. Deepest roster, deepest coaching staff, five stars and future pros at every position. That’s insane to overcome.

I wish I had some of the optimism I see around here, but this game's gonna get bad...
I was wrong about Emory. He showed for a half of football what I thought he would be, but then it all went downhill

We don’t have the defense to hang with Bama. The combination of Grantham and the schemes he runs will allow too many points (see SEC Championship Game).

I was right here..I just missed the you have to tackle them part lol. Cause nothing they’ve done is all that complex. Isolate defenders and make them miss..which UF is very good at doing..missing tackles

Tough loss but at least gave it a shot. Naquon Wright was a beast and the OL did a great job blocking. Great effort but still can achieve a lot this year.

Davis too. Davis is so good at blocking too which is underrated
