Yepper, a tough hard fought defensive battle with the Dores and it isnt the first time its happened to us...they will play tough games after today too...just dont have depth and offense to keep up for 60 minutes, but tip your cap..Mason is a tough hard boiled defensive guy.

VU doesnt have the facilities or athletic budget of all 13 other SEC teams....but they are an academic institution and their AD is just not funded or cared about much by the admin.

I havent read much of the current threads cause I know most are so fricking negative. Please do not post on this thread if you are so negative about our program and the fact we won....you have other threads you can hijack, so stay off this one. Thanks.

Several things I observed....one Appleby is being blamed a lot on Scoreboard and unfairly....you have to give VU credit for being stout against the run and of course the Ol did not play very well...some of it to VUs credit. You look at every team in the SEC and you will see bitching about their OL a lot. Defenses are ahead of offenses in the SEC and dont say Ole Miss...cause you cant win games against stout teams by throwing 55 times and not having a good run game to compliment it.

I love the fact that the girls school lost at home to North Carolina in the last seconds of the game. Two losses now and UNC was unranked...most teams would fall about 8 spots in the polls, but watch the media drop them only 6 spots which is horsecrap. They were 12th in the polls even after giving up 60 + points? WTF? ESPN is doing their best to float them so they can pimp acc. Well, now they have UL, Clemson and UM to tout. Remember that ESPN wants balance in the polls and doesnt want SEC domination because of $$.

I have been stating that LSU is ours since after spring game...we wont let it get to 4 straight. We need our DL healthy...we played several guys quite a few snaps on the DL today...# 95 especially, Keivonnis Davis, who got taken out of plays due to over aggressiveness...cant buy fakes or they break containment. Chauncey Gardner is going to be a very good player for us.
Johnny Townsend really boomed some punts and Fast Eddie really booms kickoffs.

We got a special one in Eddie. Townsend can be an NFL punter. The way Orgeron has LSU hyped it's gonna be a real test for us. One I think is winnable if we are healthy on the DL like you said and we get good play from our RB's and OL. We need to run Scarlett period.

I live an hour away from my girlfriend -- so let me explain.

That means if we're meeting at 12 PM, Noon, I have to leave an hour early at least. I have to wake up an hour earlier, I have to travel to see her so it's a bit more difficult.

Now imagine that you live in a different state, and you have to wake up early in the morning to play a weaker team after a big time comeback loss in the same state.

It is tough, playing consistently is difficult and for whatever reason we've struggled against Vandy for a while. It's normal. A few years ago, Vandy beat us on homecoming by double digits. We beat them by next to nothing last year, we beat them better this year.

They may be a lot better than we give them credit for.

They may suck.

This is the product of young guys playing a sport, and the other guys playing super hard and aggressive. Don't take away how Vanderbilt played.

We're now blaming the time of the game?

Next it will be the Gatorade flavor

and now we're trying to say that a 2-3 Vandy team is a really good team??? The same Vandy team that got their arse kicked by Georgia Tech and have struggled against every team they played.

The weirdest thing to me about Vandy is that because Vandy in general is not a great team, people also assume that they therefore can have no legit players. Webb is a damn good back - it's not a fluke that he is the leading rusher in the SEC. He ran for over 1100 yards last year on a team that only won four games. But because he plays at Vandy, that can't possibly matter because Vandy sucks so he should too.

I absolutely don't know what to make about our run D yesterday. I bet there are a lot of other teams in the SEC that wish they'd given Webb a shot though. That guy is good.

I dont care about Vandys record and you seem to understand Lucius that it isnt the size of the dog in the fight...its the fight in the dog that counts.

VANDY played well and very inspired, but they made a few mistakes in penalties, which is the mark of an aggressive team.

Our benchmark comes Saturday in the Swamp where we can show what we are made of and I expect a fierce team to come out of tunnel wearing orange and blue...I and my stepson will be there yelling our heads off.

Vandy gave up 450 yards or more in every game they've played except US.

There's a whole lot of tilting at windmills going on in this thread -- 12 o'clock on the road against Vandy screams trap game in almost every single way.

If you really don't think playing at 12 in the day doesn't affect the team you're extremely new to football. That's why everyone beforehand said that it was a trap game.

I never said they were a great team, either, I just said people don't give them the credit they deserve. They always play us tough and against two SEC foes they lost by a total of ten points. GT blew them out of the water, but they've been playing pretty hard every game and beat a decent WKU team that has two losses on the year -- one to Vandy, the other to Alabama.

You guys can start crying, but other fan bases are laughing at you. You're literally getting the pitchforks out for a guy who hasn't even had a year and a half and has really only lost games on his second string quarterback.

And TJ, your whole fire Mac post on the Coaching Change board is embarrassing. 10 downvotes to 1 upvote. People are laughing at you, man.

They are in the bottom of the conference in almost every statistical category. A trap game!?!??!!

You must be rooting for Florida to lose now because if they win you'll literally choke on the crow served by your own fan base. Maybe you should tone it down a bit.

A fan that roots for his team to lose and coaches to fail. It must be miserable to be a cocksucking piece of shite like yourself.
