All of the 247 dudes turn to shitheads eventually. Gray is likely a silent.
As for the source, I remember a poster on rivals claiming that Foley was preventing Stricklin from hiring Chip Kelly because Foley wanted Charlie Strong. A bunch of websites ran with it because the poster was an "insider". Stricklin even had to tweet that it was false.
Turns out the "insider" was doing it on a dare.
This is why I don't trust a fricking thing from any of those paywalled sites. "Pay for what everyone else will likely hear for free very soon."
Or "Pay for what you want to hear!" I just can't imagine paying for access to sites anymore when just about everything is already free.

Henry Gray just committed to Nebraska. What is going on with Safety recruiting this cycle?
Posted on 9/20/19 at 3:58 pm to PNWGator
We really can't recruit...this is getting concerning. I'll try not to panic till the end of the year, but Jesus. I do not understand why we struggle so mightily to land freaking recruits. I think it's time to really invest in a few elite recruiters. Knox and English can be replaced quite easily.
Posted on 9/21/19 at 9:52 am to Gatorbait2008
Those two are definitly suspect recruiters. Knox is Dans guy though prob not going anywhere. I'm still think we get a good RB this cycle seems we are prioritizing Parrish and Jahmyr Gibbs who is having a monsters senior year. Less options out there at safety hopefully we can flip Tae Williams but I dont know if English is capable of pulling that off.

As bad as Miami & free shoes u are we should be cleaning up in state I'm sorry but we have to do a better job recruiting this staff has to do a much better job moving forward

are we doing that? should we be doing that?

"Are we doing that?"
Yeah, in our recruiting thread we have a visitor's list from Georgia. Who cares?
"Should we be doing that?"
No, expecting to recruit like Georgia is just silly. I don't think even Georgia fans would be surprised if tomorrow the NCAA had several violations. Kirby's spreading the wealth.

Winning games.

I don’t think we’ve ever had that many recruits in house for a game before. Against that type of opponent. I get winning is a must but have our 2 wins against FSU and Miami done anything for us yet? It doesn’t appear to be that way.

We have made recruiting excuses for every staff since Meyer left.
The recruiting at Florida has just not been the same for a while now, and there is a reason why Florida is now in that 2nd tier of good CFB teams and not the top tier.
The recruiting is just OK.

And I don't think it's magically going to get better, I don't think our recruiting staff just isn't saying the right things.
Kirby isn't just a sweet talker, and this idea that Georgia started spending more on their recruiting budget than any school in the SEC (almost doubled Alabama's for one year) and suddenly have kids clamoring to get into the program isn't a super coincidence.
If we beat them this year, you won't be saying: "What has winning done for us lately", Finch.

Ok Straws when was the last time we had a visitor list even close to that for a game.
Posted on 9/23/19 at 7:14 pm to AlbinoGator
Probably when we got the death penalty for recruiting violations.
I'm perfectly content as long as we play Georgia close with a chance to win this year. As the Ol' Ball Coach said:
“Why is it that during recruiting season they sign all the great players, but when it comes time to play the game we have all the great players? I don’t understand that. What happens to them?”
Get us an elite QB and a top 15 recruiting class and we can outperform Clemson.
In fact, last year, we did. Clemson was ranked 11th, Florida was ranked 9th. It really is more about people for your system and coaching them up than it is just getting elite talent just to get it.

Straws I know your in deep soccer (futbol) country get your head out of the midfield
It's not rocket science if you big time recruits you have to host big time recruits.
I am sure being we dont play aubbie at home but every 8 to 10 years that should be a big weekend for hosting recruits not sure what the list will look like but I can guarantee it won't look like that Georgia list
