Then, once you get Summerall, that’s your in with Keon Zipperer, as they are very close and both are leaning toward UF. That shores up the TE position, and Nay’Quan Wright also is looking like UF after FNL (not sure his commitment timeline)

So in review,
QB- done
RB- Nay’Quan Wright, then done
TE- Zipperer, then done
WR- Higgins, TJ Jones, Trey Knox maybe
OL- jeesh, disaster right now
DE- Summerall, 2-3 others still needed
DT- done
LB- Black, Diabate, that’s it
DB- Kimbrough, Elam, Hill

So I'm guessing that means you are expecting Trey Sanders to go to bama?

RB- Nay’Quan Wright, then done - even if we get 0 I'm good.
TE- Zipperer, then done - agreed

DE- Summerall, 2-3 others still needed - who knows
DT- done - we good
LB- Black, Diabate, that’s it - yes please
DB- Kimbrough, Elam, Hill - Here. We. Go.

I was talking about guys to add to the class we have now. I’m fine with Marks too

Man, my bad. Usually people are talking about cutting Marks but he's got potential. He has the frame, work ethic and strength we need for a strong, capable WR and I really hate when he doesn't get the TLC he deserves.

The only positions I’m significantly concerned about are offensive line- mostly because I think you need SOME blue chips along the OL, and outside of Wardarick Wilson, we have none. I’m slightly concerned about safety too, because I don’t think we’re in the lead for any big time safeties, I don’t like our chances for Brendan gant or for nick cross. Hope that turns around and new targets pop up.

Even if they haven’t materialized into commits at this point, I like where we stand with our targets at most every other position. We’ve missed in places but I am happy with the options we still have. We need this good positioning with guys to start turning into results though. Even when you have a strong “idea” that commits are coming, it’s agonizing waiting on that official word.

Yeah, I kinda downplayed the importance of offensive line recruiting, considering nearly half the players on offensive at any given time are linemen. The issue beyond not having many blue chip OL on the roster, is the fact that our targets all seem to be the sleeper, “underrated”, *insert adjective for 3 stars that we hype up because they’re committed to our team* kind of guys.

You guys know I’m typically in the sunshine pumper, positive camp (not quite as far as reel and straws, but I consider myself a positive trust the process kind of guy) but it’s hard to excuse the lack of tangible results in this class so far, and it’s inexcusable to have such a shoddy offensive line board.

I say all of this knowing that it’s still early, and as a guy that trusts Mullen because I was extremely happy with what he did to close out the last class. As happy as I was with the 2018 class, it’s hard to not be concerned with the silence we’ve witnessed thus far in this class.

The offensive line board is not going to improve unless there are some surprises along the way. Right now I think their only focus is getting bodies, which makes sense because the line has been a severe problem for a long time.

I'm not a 'pumper' by the way, there are legitimate concerns, and I still get frustrated with Mullen over letting Corral go -- but there's just no use in pretendling like Mullen can't get the job done right now. I feel like Mullen is doing what he can, and that there's little difference that we could have done this year. It just upsets me that no one gives him the benefit of the doubt when McElwain had it for considerably longer.

Recruiting is no where near where we want it to be, but he is still recruiting better than his best class at MSST. He has more talent than he's ever had and playing in an unusually weak East.

However: Don't think I'm saying we're flawless on recruiting, but I do believe on-field success will help, and also I think our 2020 class is the one we're realy going to focus on going forward.

The brand needs to be rebuilt, we are not the 2006 - 2012 Gators.

Well, Im a pumper....but I do have concerns about the OL mainly because we have so many upperclassmen That will be leaving after this year and a few the next.

I always like to see 13-15 OL on the roster, it gives you cushion. WE have been hurt by injury bug before and depth is always needed. We the depth now...but in 2019?

There are still a lot of very good OL out there and remember that OL take time to mature and some high school talent haven't even been uncovered yet.

This will probably be a very bad OL class. A lot of "bodies" like I said before. However, I think the staff can make up, or at least patch it together.

I think people just need to buckle up for a bumpy ride. Hopefully we perform well enough on the field for the future of the program. I like our chances.

Really happy that Weston showed up to campus. Tall and fast. Blew right by Hill during FNL.

Liked the CBs that showed up. Got to nail them down.

Abrams is likely going to get dropped.

Zippered and Summerall are must gets. Got to keep that Lakeland connection.

BSB up early on Sunday ?....I myself am always getting up early even when I don't have to.

Lets not get too bothered by OL recruiting just yet. There is a lot of non committed talent and also high school seniors this year haven't even played a snap. After football season nears the end...there are always some new faces that catch on fire.

OL is a slow developing position for most and its hard for many true frosh to crack the lineup. Some take two or three years before their body and mental state are fully ready for SEC big boy football.

I would think the staff has been busy looking at JUCO ranks which don't have the NCAA limitations that high school recruiting has. Our biggest problem is the admin and getting very good players enrolled at UF.

Other ways to help ourselves is the staff passing the word through channels that opportunity is available for grad transfers. The best source are high school coaches who usually stay in touch with ex players, along with various contacts.

If we flop on OL recruiting this year Im afraid that it will hurt us in 2019. But there is still plenty of time.

I like Whittmore, too, he showed that he's good enough in coverage. He needs a lot more raw strength.

Hill really needs to stay off Twitter for a few days after what the Xavier kid did to him.

Looks like AU is going hard after Hopper according to their board.

I think Hopper is pretty solid, but I definitely can't blame them.

Also, it's probably getting close to hitting the panic button. If Mullen doesn't get a pledge from anyone else from FNL, that's not a good sign at all, no matter how strong of a finisher he is.

we're simply gonna have to prove we can win games this season.

if we lose more than 3 regular season games, we could be in for a long rough ride.

i don't think 8-4 appeals to any high level recruits.

Keep in mind that Helen (Richt) signed a consensus # 1 or # 2 rated class after UGA went 6-7...losing to UCF in a 3rd tier bowl.

So, while Ws & Ls are nice of course...it doesn't mean you cant recruit great talent and the usual pitch " we need help immediately at almost all positions" Playing time at a major program is important also.

Now, if we just had Ron Zook as a recruiter
