Urban Meyer Did and so did SOS. I said ELITE coaching. There are other that coaches that have coached at UF other than your boy WM. He's not the bar I set UF football to.

Spurrier and Meyer are the level we want to get back to.

Muschamp is a good bar because he coached at UF in the most comparable climate in terms of how the school is perceived and the climate of college football as a whole. Muschamp outperforms Mac on defensive recruiting, Mac outperforms Muschamp already in offensive recruiting, and Mac outperforms Muschamp in on the field results, the only thing that really matters.

The recruiting has to improve no doubt, and hopefully a strong finish to the season today will push us through signing day with a strong close.

Tedarrell Slaton names Florida his outright leader, says he's committing soon, wants to stay close to home, and only have an OV to UF set up for January 20th

Gator.

4 star CB from Cali Elijah Blades tweets a photo of himself in Gator gear and says "for those of you wondering about who I'm committed to #UF"

He can definitely be a NT...hard to move that frame...but Im sure the coaches want him to lose some of that weight.

1st 2 years

WM:

18-8 4-7 vs top 25 3-3 vs top 10 1 sugar bowl 1-1 in bowls.

Mac 19-8 3-7 vs top 25 1-3 vs top 10 2 SECCG 1-1 in bowls.

Both had putrid offenses and their records are almost identical.

He's got a lot of bad weight. Will take him anyway. Reel would be a take at this point. Slaton has a ton of raw potential at DT.

WM: Lost to an FCS for the first time in program history.

WM: Failed to make a bowl for the first time before I was born.

WM: Set several records for losing while having a positive turnover margin of like 6.

WM: Was the only coach to lose after holding the opponent under 200 yards of offense or something.

He did it twice.

WM: Blown out by Vanderbilt on homecoming.

WM: Blown out by Missouri on homecoming.

-------

Mac: Won the East twice in a row, first by an SEC East Coach (Maybe first in the SEC to win their division twice in a row their first two years).

Mac: Broke the record for least yards permitted by the defense.

Mac: Broke the record for least yards permitted in the Outback Bowl.

Mac: Is winning with less talent.

Muschamp: Has another losing season on his board.

Shut the frick up already, TJ, you're retarded.

I'm comparing their first 2 years because that's what counts in a comparison.

Who recruited the majority of that defense?

I know all about the records he set. Their records and results are almost identical. Mac made the SECCG yay and we got our asses beat 83-31.

Mac is winning because he's beating teams with less talent and the coaches he's facing now suck in comparison to when WM took over.

WM could at least recruit a defense. The only thing he could get right. Mac is at the bottom of the coaching barrel with WM. That's my point.

Being in the championship and losing is better than having never gone at all.

LSU has consistently had top 15 classes the last I don't know how many years and he beat them on the road. Georgia, too, has more talent than us.

Iowa beat Michigan this year, destroyed Nebraska and was on a winning streak and we dominated them without a hitch.

It appears that McElwain is recruiting more quality players, simply with less stars, and those with 5 stars are looking pretty good.

Bellyache all you want, McElwain won a good game today and is breaking records all over the place (defensive records).

Our defense looks better than at any point in Muschamp's career and he's had to play like 5 freshmen at that side of the ball due to injuries.

You're just wrong, you've been wrong, and you will continue to be wrong. McElwain has two ten win seasons with notable wins over good and great teams and we're trending up. OLine looks better, receivers look better (they're finally breaking tackles) and running backs are improving -- everything we needed.

The defense, despite losing 5 starters and several backups to those starters, just broke a goddamn Outback Bowl record.

frick man, you slobber all over Harbaugh yet McElwain beat (absolutely stomped) the only common opponent the two teams had and our coach came out on top and the only thing you can do is bitch and moan some more?

Heres some info for you guys...reported TOS that Leatherwood was at the Outback Bowl yesterday and was confirmed with pic taken..he was at Orlando for the all star game but Tampa is out of the way to go back to Pensacola?? Hmmm and he was wearing Gator blue.

Theres more...but wanted to let you know to fasten seatbelts in case. He is an EE so if he is going to flip...its soon and with Kiffin fired...plus intel that he was told he would play RT instead of LT at Bama...look out! It aint over til its over.

Bama TOS got wind of this yesterday very quickly btw and they were calling the Gator site to confirm..so this cats out of the bag. AL has kept things quiet lately for a reason....lot of pressure put on him.

This has nothing to do with recruiting TJ, but in regards to your post, why do you think Mac's had putrid offenses these first two years? Logic tells you it's because the previous coach left absolutely nothing for Mac to work with, so he had to completely overhaul and rebuild the offense. And despite that complete rebuild, he was able to win 10 games basically in his first two seasons, finish the season ranked in the top 25, and top 15 this year, and managed to get more facility improvements than Muschamp ever could. And the recruiting is beginning to get better.

How about this?

Nick Saban in his first two years at Bama: 19-8, 5-5 vs Top 25, 1-1 in bowl games, 1 SECCG appearance

Jim McElwain in his first two years at Florida: 19-8, 3-7 vs Top 25, 1-1 in bowl games, 2 SECCG appearances

Interesting. I seem to remember something along the lines of "it's a process" coming from both Nick Saban and Jim mcElwain

Now we know Mac is no Nick saban right now, but he also is no Will Muschamp. And it's insulting that some of you would even try to make that argument and throw records up with no perspective of the progress that's been made.

I got a question TJ. What did you think about the recruiting when 3 star Vosean Joseph was all over the field making plays as a true freshman? Or when Chauncey Gardner had two pick sixes? Or when Mark thompson and Jordan Scarlett were busting off long plays behind the blocking of guys like Martez Ivey and TJ McCoy and Jawaan Taylor? Or when guys like Jabari Zuniga and Keivonnis Davis were making plays along the DL? Was it pissing you off that those young guys were instrumental in a victory against a quality opponent?

That's a lot of bad recruiting, on both sides of the ball I guess. Those young guys on defense are going to take their lumps, but they'll be absolutely fine on defense.

Damn you are an insufferable idiot

This team is a few yrs away from a 4 win season under Champ, and you expect a new HC to just snap his damn fingers and beat good teams like FSU and BAMA? Champ walked into a better situation following an elite HC so yeah he was supposed to do well, then once those guys were gone he won what 11 games over his last two seasons with his great defensive players. Mac comes in and takes those boys to two straight SECCG and youve done nothing but bitch and moan.

Not once this yr after a win have you been happy. Thats why we know you arent a fan of this team. Im so glad they won and won big with young guys on both sides of the ball so we dont have to hear you on your soapbox for the next few months. Thats right, Macs guys played a huge role in scoring the longest play from scrimmage in Outback history while holding a team to the lowest yards in Outback Bowl history.

Deal with it.
