What is there to discuss about recruiting? With no coach, UF should be pulling 5*'s?
We all knew the deal going into this season. The class was going to depend on the HC's job security. Well, there isn't any security and the HC is a lame duck at this point. UF isn't gonna get shite for recruits, and UF isn't going to until the new HC is announced. Expect shite for 2 more months about.

I agree 100% with the 5*'s but 9 recruits and 68th in the nation that is a bit ridiculous. Especially since I read yesterday that Jones and Dillon are possible decommitts as well in the near future. Even the year Meyer left we still had the 12th ranked class.

A few of you want to bitch just to bitch. If UF had 20 commits and the HC was in the same situation you guys would all be pissed because there would be 15 decommit instead of 5.
It's gonna be a f'n disaster for 2 more months. You guys know that. Please don't make me read the bullshite when yall knew the deal coming in.

Based on the FSU vs Louisville game do you think missing on Cook and Lane stings a bit more?

It's just one game, so no, not yet.
But you can see the potential for those misses to hurt Florida for 3 years.
But that's pretty much the Muschamp era offensive recruiting in a nutshell. Watch players at Florida never develop, and watch a crappy offense, then watch our offensive misses blow up on other teams.
It doesn't even sting anymore honestly, it just is what it is.

Yeah It was more of I dont want FSU to be good at all and seeing them play well makes me sick. Without Cook and Lane I'm not sure they win that game.

Yes, Cook and Lane were misses for sure. Definitely Cook. Funny thing is, if Cook was at UF he wouldn't be playing because "has trouble pass blocking". Lane isn't a huge miss because FL is loaded with WR's. Just gotta get the right head man and skill players will line up.

Agree I thought cook would've either redshirted or not played either. Lane looks like he can catch at least.

He has to win out -- although he can lose to FSU by a late field goal and be kept. But he'll get canned if he loses to any team other than FSU, and if he loses that one bad he's definitely gone.

If WM is retained, yes to both. If WM is fired and Lawing is retained, there's still a chance with both, but I think CeCe is a Gator no matter what. I think Cowart would go elsewhere if WM is canned.
WM needs to win out to be completely safe. If he wins the next 2, and UF plays FSU respectably, he is back as well. If UF loses against SCe, he is gone more than likely. Wins the next 2, but blown out by FSU and he is gone as well IMO.

UF has always been my 2nd favorite team to Alabama. Coming out of HS I only applied to 3 colleges and go into all 3. Alabama, Florida, and Vandy. I hope Alabama gets Cowart but I know UF seems to be his team he grew up rooting for. If we can't pull Jefferson, which I think we are tied for 2nd with OM for him, even though delusional OM fans think he's a lock because of the Nkemdiche, Treadwell, Tunsil, Conner class; then I hope Cece is UF bound, frick OM. I think both end up at Florida if Muschamp stays, but if he leaves I think Cowart comes to Alabama and Jefferson sticks with UF.

I am confident with Treon at QB and with our defense we definitely have a good chance up in Tallyban. Boom was quoted a few weeks ago about how the girls school last year made our fans hang their heads ands he wants to do the same thing to them this year. I expect a UGA type effort when we play them.
I grew up as teen during the days of Steve Sloan, Joe Namath, Billy Neighbors, Charley Pell, etc etc....the 1963-64 games are etched in memory. The battles royale between Bama and Ga Tech are also etched. Billy Lothridge was Bama QB and superb punter. The pads were popping back then.

Recruits reaction to muschamp firing. Most of the committed recruits are still saying they are Gators. As far as prospects Jefferson and Cowart both are saying as long as we keep Lawing they are still considering UF. Looks like we need to make sure whoever we get keeps him for sure. Long way to go we will see what happens. Below are the links.
