We left right after that because my wife wasn't feeling good ... but damn, still haven't hired that 9th guy.

Things that make you wanna go hmmmmmmmmm.

Now I'm wondering if he is on an NFL staff somewhere?

quote:

“Still working through that right now,” Muschamp said of his final hire. “I’d like to have had it before we got on the road recruiting, but Ellis Johnson gives us a little flexibility. He’ll be in an off-the-road role, but he can go out on the road recruiting after passing the NCAA test, which he did. We’re still going to hire somebody else to our staff, but I want it to be the right fit.”

I'm beginning to wonder though ... who's out there?

We know it's not gonna be the guy who replaced TRob down at Florida ... he was let-go yesterday I believe. But he has a bad reputation as not being able to coach or recruit from what I've read.

And one would be inclined to think that most coaches have new contracts and are settled-in for the coming year by now.

It's a head scratcher.

There are pro coaches still out there - so I have to believe he's got someone in mind, even if it is a QC guy off of a pro staff somewhere.

Made me happy for Elliott that he got the loudest applause of all...wonder how that made Muschamp feel, though?

ETA: McClendon seems very likable just from the impression he gives, TRob seems like he isn't gonna take any bullshite, Coleman is and will pull far more tail than Lance could ever hope to if Coleman so chooses, and Dillman seems like he's a trip.
