ETA: It was his position coach who also acts as the recruiting coordinator at Stephenson. He deleted his initial tweet about us not being welcome and just retweeted that South Carolina is always welcome bc it is a public school.
Bet he feels like a dumbass.

All I know is what everyone else is talking about which started with the commitment to us but Boom has yet to give it a #SpursUp.
Have not quite yet figured-out what to make of all of it CG but it is damn fun watching and waiting to see how it all pans-out.
Those coaches were douches to tweet that crap and they crossed the line playing with that young man's future.
As far as Sports Talk goes I quit listening years ago ... I mean more than a decade ago. That they are still on the air surprises me at times. They must be giving away their syndication fees purely for ad time anymore and they can't be very profitable. I know the SCNN has been for sale for awhile now ... at least I don't think anyone picked them up and Kevin McCrary had to leave the show because they couldn't pay him his scraps anylonger.

Tra never had a committable offer...he was told they wanted to see im in camp again...he posted commitment edits twice and neither were ackowledged by tbe staff.

Well, that makes sense and it would also make sense that we would distance ourselves from him and his wackadoodle coaches at this point. Too much drama.

If I had to put $$ on it I'd say the coach tried and over played his hand. We've had at last one signee from that high school in every one of boom's cycles and the coach tried and failed to leverage that into Wilkins commitment.

I'd agree plus the guy is trying to hold Boom's feet to the fire on a miscommunication in order to cover his arse because he told his HC that we offered 8 of his players ... and it's his word against our coaches' word.
There were five hard offers and two conditional offers based on academics and one conditional offer based on academics AND medical clearance.
Pretty sure we will not sign a player out of Stephenson this year given that both sides are circling the wagons and Stephenson is saying they will not attend any more camps up here.
Plus I was told they did a no no ... they said, "Coach Ward never lied, you could count on Coach Ward's word when he made a verbal offer. You people are liars."
They never should have evoked the "lie" word and directed it toward TRob, Pete and Boom.
Hopefully there will be some smoothing over once Boom talks to Coach Gartrell before Coach Wardlow gets involved.
Gartrell has been on a bit of a hot seat the past couple of years and is probably soon to be forced to retire. His staff may be feeling some of the pressure and jockeying to move-up if he does retire.

I know for a fact our staff isnt sweating it...id rather be in at tucker and grayson and south GA HS's than stephenson
The wonnums and MD28 are enough for us to say to a stephenson kid that wr will get you to the show if you do the work.
