... it's not looking good for 2015. That was some real iffy surgery he underwent and he is not recovering well.

Damn, that's a really tough break for the young man. I hated him when he played against us, but he really was the best athlete I'd seen on a football field in a long time. Hope he can return to form.

What I find really strange about this situation: if Clowney got hurt week 1 of '14, then why did they wait until January to do the surgery? That doesn't make any sense to me, he was IR for several months!?!? Why wait until you are giving him a timeframe to come back after the season starts in '15?

If they would've done it in the fall, he could've been back in June and had almost 3 months to recondition and get into playing shape. What am I missing, why did they wait so long to do this surgery?

IIRC, they thought he only had a torn meniscus. He got a second opinion, and found out he basically has no cartiledge in his knee anymore.
